I just found out that you can change thew look of sciforums with some color presets in the options menu. I was wondering are there more color presets options on the way. It is rather unique and cool but there are only three different options you can choose from so what about it???? are there any more color additions on the way Porfiry or any body else who knows????;)

the "midnight" i think its called (black) version is done poorly and half the details are missing.

The blue version is barely changed.

and Sci and NewSci are the same damn thing.

Well at least Sciforums doesn't have obnoxious annoying colors. Swing on over to any bored hosted on EZBoard (http://www.ezboard.com) and you'll see just how wrong people can go with colors for their forums. I like the white and gray, kind of sterile, structured and orderly, yet not necessarily dull. It makes the page a high minor which I and my snobby aesthetic sensibilities approve of.

If I were to suggest another color scheme I'd have to say that monochrome schemes probably wouldn't screw things up too much. Also, something simple but radical like changing the light gray to an orange would probably come out looking pretty stylish and hip. I'm on my way to getting a BA in multimedia, folks, I know what I'm talking about.

I think that if you really want to see some new color schemes take a page from sciforums or two and throw in your own colors, and then maybe start a thread to show ‘em off as examples of what you’d like to see, that makes it a lot easier on whoever’s in charge of designing this stuff, that way he already has a pretty damn good idea of what to do, and knows roughly weather or not people actually think that the new scheme is agreeable.

There should be a device where you can hook up sciforums to your brain, and then whatever mood your are in is represented by a color.
