I dont know to much about all this but im wonding if compressed co2 (like what u use in paintball guns) is created and compressed or is taken for existing co2 in the atmosphere and compresses.

Why do you want to know?
It could be either, I suppose.

In all likelihood, it would be from whichever method was cheaper to do. I'm not fully certain if it is cheaper to extract from the normal air, or to synthesize/separate/etc. in a lab.

However, I would imagine that for the purposes of paintball, the CO2 would not need to be exceptionally pure. And this fact alone most lily simplifies everything a great deal...:)

I would imagine it is easier to synthesize CO2

i was just using the co2 to freez and make items cold and i was wondering about it. and are there any better ways to keep items cold or frozen?

What do you mean by better? Colder?

I find that my refrigerator freezer works quite well in keeing things frozen.

i have just been using the co2 to freez and item quickly and not wait on a freezer to do it.

Well then you are looking for colder if you're looking for quicker.

Liquid nitrogen is better but best of all is liquid helium (if you can get your hands on it - not literally of course :D)

If you had put it in the freezer when you made this thread it would be frozen by now, believe me :D
