Remember as we creep nearer 2008 itself that, while the GOP may be willing to ridicule Hillary Clinton as being so liberal as to be socialistic (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/11/13/AR2007111302250.html), liberals in general aren't having it. The Stranger, referred to variously as Seattle's best or only newspaper, the weekly tabloid so known for its overwhelming liberalism that public editor A. Birch Steen rarely has anything nice to say about its staff (http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Author?oid=25288), recently took a poll regarding the Democratic candidates.

This is an unusual result, at least relative to our previous Slog tracking polls. Either John Edwards is surging this month among Slog readers (he’s been third in our poll since August), or some of you have way too much time on your hands and are spending it manipulating our results.

(Sanders (http://slog.thestranger.com/2007/11/slog_tracking_poll_results_2))

The results?

Edwards - 36%
Obama - 30%
Clinton - 20%
Kucinich - 8%
Biden - 2%
Richardson - 2%
Dodd - 1%
Gravel - 1%

(1095 votes)

No matter what else happens in 2008, we'll see if the GOP is capable of understanding that Hillary Clinton is not a liberal. Of course, they're just acting all frothy and virile because they're hoping for a chance to go out and beat a woman.

Hillary can only win the phantom Corporate polls. And Buffalo, she's not a Liberal. Dennis Kucinich is a liberal.

Here's the differences between to the two.

Kucinich is for impeachment, Hillary is NOT!

Kucinich voted no against the War in Afghanistan and Iraq, Hillary DID NOT.

Kucinich voted against the Patriot act. Hillary intially voted for it.

Kucinich was the lone Democrat who sided with the Republians when they filed suit for Clinton violating the War powers act. Kucinich is anti war, no matter who's in office, like all real liberals. There's plenty more I can add, but I'm sure you get my point. The China Trade agreement in 2000 is another example. Kucinich voted against it, because there wasn't enough protecting the workers rights. But of course Hillary was all for it. A real Liberal will never get elected in this country. The elite has the masses trained to only vote for people who will stay the course. Look at the last 3 Administrations, same foreign policies, just a different face selling it.

Hillary Clinton is not a liberal?

Other than the whole health care and social security deal, not really. That's like saying there's no such thing as a RINO.

Hillary Clinton is not a liberal?

You've been living in the Reaganesque political dementia bubble for so long you've forgotten what real liberalism looks like.

I've come to realize that Hillary isn't a giant liberal, too. She's become such an insider that the starry-eyed liberalism of her youth has gone the way of the Dodo. And that, in a way, is what scares me even more about her. At least when she was a liberal one knew what to expect of her, and there was some safety and some sanity in that. But now she's so polished and poll-driven she is like a robot. That turns me off even more. She's got to the point she can't even answer a straight question.

Other than the whole health care and social security deal, not really. Not much "liberal" (American sense) about Hillary's health care plan - welfare for insurance companies, another description of it.

It's main job was to deflect Wellstone's far superior (and genuinely liberal) single payer plan, which was becoming too persuasive as more people became familiar with it.

What Social Security deal?
