    Good. I wish we had laws like this:

    BEIJING — Two married schoolteachers who forced 23 rural girls — six younger than 14 — into having sex with Chinese coal mine owners have been sentenced to death.

    Zhao Qingmei and her husband, Chi Yao, forced 22 girls from a school where they taught into prostitution.

    The man's sentence was suspended for two years. Is that because he's more "valuable" than his wife?

    And isn't a man supposed to have control over his wife? he tells her what to do and when she is an obedient wife she is put to death, while he isn't?! AURGH!

    It's probably that same Chinese bs where the female is nothing but a breeding machine to have a boy, and a slave. Ugh. It's only part of the reason I despise the Chinese government. Their persecution of Christians is abominable. So are their exports.

    Sandy seems to have an almost erotic attraction towards killing. Jesus would be proud.

    well, if one of those girls was my daughter, I would want them dead as well. They weren't just molested, they were raped on a nightly basis by several men. They were 'comfort women' at the age of 13.

    Yeah. I'm one of the ones who takes His Word "an eye for an eye" seriously. I don't support criminal behavior of ANY kind and would gladly support the death penalty for many crimes. I support personal responsibility. Not pathetic blame everyone else bs.

    I don't believe in jails for vile filth. They should all be shot--especially child abusers.

    I would not shoot/hang/bother homosexuals though. Not like the muslims do.

    ???Muslims don't. If they did, we would have no gay population in Michigan.

    And we have enough gay bashing here in the US. Matthew Shepherd, Fred Phelps, etc.

    No. I believe in the death penalty. I think it needs to be used more often. Society has gone evil/vile and its scum need to die--especially the perverts who abuse children. I support the death penalty for anyone who kills another American intentionally and not in self-defense, for anyone who tortures an innocent American, for anyone who harms a child in a vile way...

    It would be a deterrent to the filth that is out there now getting away with murder. Literally. OJ.

    <sigh> can this please be about the girls in China? Or even about the death penalty there.

    I would like to know why the man was spared and not the wife. Is it sexist or did she have more involvement in it?

    Thou Shall Not Kill is one of the ten commandments. Jesus refuted the eye for an eye attitude.

    If you cared about the innocent, you would not be in favor of the death penalty. I like how Sandy hates the Chinese, but somehow trusts them implicitly to hold a fair trial, if that even happened at all. People on death row get exonerated all the time in the US, which means that sometimes an innocent person gets killed. I would not trust the Chinese to be fair and support individual rights.

    If there were a clear, perfect, and totally reliable method to determine the truth of something (which there isn't), I would still not support the death penalty, just because life in prison is worse.

    Maybe they just hate their teacher. What the hell are coal miner supposed to do for sex anyway? Their life is total crap, and they die by the thousands all the time. Now they can't even pay for a prostitute.

    You don't know squat about the Tencommandments;

    The Ten Commandments from Exodus 20:2–17 and Deuteronomy 5:6–21

    And in Both it states;

    There is a major difference between Murder, and Killing.

    2 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery;
    3 Do not have any other gods before Me.

    4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

    5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me,

    6 but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.

    7 You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.

    8 Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.

    9 For six days you shall labour and do all your work.

    10 But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns.

    11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and consecrated it.

    12 Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

    13 You shall not murder.

    14 You shall not commit adultery.

    15 You shall not steal.

    16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.

    17 You shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.

    For my purposes, it's the same. Killing an innocent person is murder, and the death penalty results in innocent people being killed. How many innocent people being murdered is acceptable to the LORD? I would think that if the legal system is capable of making mistakes, a real Christian would not want to take the chance of killing an innocent person.

    In any case, one a suspect is in custody, there can be no argument from self-defense.
