I've discovered in the last while that I am a very chilled person. I don't let negative things affect me and as such I enjoy people who don't get too depressed or sad over things they either can't control or choose not to. It also means I like chillin' and chillin' music. Chillin to me means a situation where I can sit on a chair for an hour and do nothing. Where me and a friend can have minimal conversation over the course of 2 hours and just sit playing slike volleyball. Chillin' music is music that either makes light of a regularly negative situation/emotion or just says (in a Bob Marley kind of way) 'chill out, everything's okay'.

What songs to you show this? Here's my list of chillin' music.

    Good Vibrations - Beach Boys
Fool On the Hill - Beatles
    Maxwell's Silver Hammer - Beatles
    Penny Lane - Beatles
Ride Captain Ride - Blues Image
Everybody Must Get Stoned - Bob Dylan
Bye Bye Love - Buddy Holly
That'll Be the Day - Buddy Holly
    Bad Moon Risin' - CCR
Born on the Bayou - CCR
Old Time Rock and Roll - (I have it under CCR but taht may be wrong)
Somebody to Love - Jefferson Airplane
Mrs. Robinson - Simon and Garfunkel
Up On Criple Creek - The Band
God Gave Me Everything - Stones
    Satisfaction - Stones
Sympathy for the Devil - Stones
Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog - Three Dog Night

As you can see, most of these songs are not exactly intelligent. Just fun, chillin' songs!

i think my 'chillin' music is the same as what i listen to everyday.

cradle of filth, tonic, everclear, stone temple pilots, powerman5000....

although i dance around the house to rob zombie and the spice girls... if thats more of what you were going for....

    • Mr E's Beautiful Blues - The Eels
    • Any Idlewild tune
    • Gainsville Rock city & all my best freinds are metal heads - Less Than Jake
    • Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd
just basically any kind of music that suits the mood...its pointless for me to list all the tunes i listen to because its too varied. In that list you got rock, ska, classic rock and a soundtrack.

Here are a couple bands that I've been 'chilling' to lately:

    - low
    - radar bros.
    - pinback
    - brando
    - starflyer 59

All pretty mellow and relaxed but very good.

I just head that tune and that album for the first time today in a friend's house. (I never listen to radio)

I like it. I am burning copy.

i dont try to categorize musik so much as to be able to define songs meant for "chillin' time" between 2 and 4....

rather....i listen to teh same songs over and over and over....sapping all life and sonic appeal from their tired little melodies until my little eardrums have been satiated fully.....usually takes some time...anywhere from a week to a month....then i find some more songs to violate and start the process over....

    right now....im addicted to

    1) reflection --tool
    2) track 3 off lateralus
    3) parabol, parabola--tool
    4) live version of "the mark has been made" on nin's halo 17
    5) here to stay---korn
