The name of innocence is child, purity of heart and mind ... seeing past their eyes, the reflection of clouds floating in limitless fields. I once tried to look straight into the eyes of unknown the newly born child, but felt that could not oversee them, could not find the purity in them to overcome my own for it was greater than I could handle. I envied them ... I felt for them and their future to become like me ... for their future loss of innocence to accept the reality of this world and survive. But most of all... I envied their purity which I could not overcome.

...which I could never overcome.

But they will demand feeding.

The dead tissue of other animals.

Welcome to reality.

Who mentioned corruption?

No one born with a mouth to feed is innocent.

Ha ha ha!!!!!!

The game unfolds....

Why persist in trying to keep alive this fantasy of innocence?

We imagine that there is still a child within us - that we are, at the core, unblemished... and all the suffering we have caused just goes away...

Unable to face reality, we create a false one.

Because kids start eating meat before they are 1 yr old. I can't see how that takes away their innocence.

Kids don't know that meat comes from animals.. not at age 1 at least.

The child isn't calling itself innocent.

YOU ARE!

This is because the child hasn't been taught to lie yet.

Is ignorance of the law exemption from it?

Does nature allow us to opt out of responsibility?

A baby is born with an empty mind covered in the blood and guts of its mother.

It knows only its primal instincts which must be satisfied. If it had the power it would destroy those who attempt to deny it.

Next people will be going all Satanist or Paganist and trying to sacrifice 'Innocents' on the alter for their particular Gods.

What of a Child born from a Women that was Raped? They might well be 'Innocent' however they are still a product of a 'Crime'. I suppose you could suggest that they too were raped of their Innocence.

The fearful adopt a dualist position to avoid confronting any middle ground which would challenge their lack of intellectual courage and expose the weaknesses in their argument.

If someone denies that children are born innocent - the current get out clause for secular civilization - then they must be a Christian/Satanist/Paganist, etc...

Of course, you try and hide your position behind 'women's rights'. More make believe fairy tales intended to conceal nature. Nature doesn't care for such human fantasies.

Whether a woman is raped or agrees to penetration makes no difference to her chances of pregnancy unless she takes physical action to try and change the outcome.

Quite simply, nature doesn't care and neither does the child nature produces.

so innocence is in reality, lack of knowledge? total lack of knowledge?

Wow, calm down. :bugeye:

On an unrelated note, I'm moving this to Free Thoughts. Judging only by the initial post, it looked like Cesspool material, but the subject of whether or not children are born innocent seems like a promising direction for this thread. Peace. :m:

innocence is real. u can see it in the character of children and sometimes adults if you watch carefully. some children are more innocent natured than others u will notice too.

innocence is often painful to watch because nature is going to molest, rape, sully or murder it somehow. It's sad and disgusting indeed.

The psychogenic mode of the discipline of Psychohistory describes history as being a long march of very slowly decreasing child abuse. Look it up: children who are not abused are still the exception rather than the norm.

Purity? There is no such thing, they know less but then do you think that ignorance is pure? Well then you could have remained pure also. You lock yourself in a room and thats it, 20-30 years with no influence BUT you still have your brain so where is the purity. You think if i dont get out of here i will kill someone.

how can someone say there is no such thing as purity when you see the purity in children, even pets, sometimes adults. there definitely is purity and the only thing that keeps life worth living. the light however form it takes

If any words in the English language have muddy definitions, they would certainly be "innocence" and "purity". I say we should have a working definition of both words before we continue. Otherwise, we don't know what each other is talking about. Perhaps I'll contribute my own bit to that tomorrow, after a night's sleep.
