So while watching the Games, one can observe that after a while seeing a random athlete you can guess what type of sports they do. There are some sports where the body type is specially telling:

-beach volleyball : tall, square, no ass or tits, no curves
-gymnasts : tiny, compact, hard and small curves
-rhythmic gymnasts: tall, not very muscular, deer-like

    etc.etc.

So the question arrises: Do they have these body types because they have been doing a particular sport from a young age, or did they get this body type, because they are doing special type of training?

I am not sure of the answer, but I never seen a short swimmer. My theory is that they spend so much time in their formative years in water that makes them taller by 1-2 inches than they would grow without swimming. It is also possible that they were chosen at a young age because they were taller than the other kids...

My guess: body types come first and sport choice follows. Among men, tall guys tend toward basketball, heaqvy guys to (American) football.
