I thought there should be a sport where both the mind and the body is measured at once. So the winner of the event is who gets the highest scores in BOTH chess and boxing....

So the winner of the event is who gets the highest scores in BOTH chess and boxing.... spidergoat 03-09-07, 10:07 PM So, say one person wins at chess, and the other wins at boxing, is that a tie? Syzygys 03-09-07, 10:13 PM No. We give points according to where they finish among the competitors. We add both events ranks, and the player with the less points wins... vslayer 03-10-07, 12:32 AM what if you get a free punch with every piece you take, then the winner can be decided by regular chess rules, or decided by who loses consciousness first Syzygys 03-10-07, 07:57 AM I thought a better one: In a 10 rounds boxmatch they play a 3 minutes speedchess in every break.... All rounds and chessgames are counted as win/tie/lose and ranked accordingly... Tyler N. 03-10-07, 08:52 AM During the boxing match, you have 10 seconds to yell out the chess moves. So its like punch punch block "queen takes bishop on b8" clobber slam "night to c4 check" punch punch block, ect. The Devil Inside 03-10-07, 11:25 AM i was golden gloves....i also enjoy a good chess matchup. hmm..i like the idea. Syzygys 03-10-07, 12:31 PM Now let's say chessboxing really takes off. Would the world champion be more of a muscular boxer, or a geekish chessplayer? Nikelodeon 03-10-07, 12:31 PM A muscular geek. The Devil Inside 03-10-07, 12:33 PM Now let's say chessboxing really takes off. Would the world champion be more of a muscular boxer, or a geekish chessplayer? probably the boxer. chess is easier to learn than knowing how to get punched in the face for a living. cosmictraveler 03-10-07, 12:39 PM Mohamad Ali played chess. spidergoat 03-10-07, 02:36 PM How about cheeseboxing? After every round, the winner gets to eat a different kind of cheese. Syzygys 03-10-07, 04:17 PM Mohamad Ali played chess. Bill Gates throws airpunches... It is not the ability but the level of skill, that determines the winner. draqon 03-10-07, 04:20 PM ok so lets say if someone looses a pone, he gets a punch in face once. and if he looses a knight, he gets 20 punches in face and if the other opponent kills a knight, than he get to give out punches... until one of them wins |
