Is anyone else out there ready to STOP THE IGNORANCE of ads that claim products are "chemical free"? What the hell do they think all those big words under ingredients are? Not to mention that water itself is still a chemical.

Yeah, and I get the same feeling when I see something advertised as "all natural." Cyanide, strychnine, mercury, lead, and all the other heavy metals and many other dangerous substances are perfectly natural. Also snake venom and dog poop are quite natural, but I don't want any of it in anything I buy. ;)

Society goes to funny paths when people develop an education but not wisdom.
This is just an extension of that.

education would let you know that there's no such thing as a "chemical free" product or that labeling something "all natural" is redundant seeing as it's a lie anyway in that all the "bounty of nature" has been run though pumps, reverse-osmosis filters, converyor belts, mixing and reaction vats, and finally plastic bottles that are probably printed with leaves and crap on them.
but, ironically, those machines are our creations, and are humans not too part of nature? maybe EVERY product is all natural, ranging from fresh produce to high performance aircraft made with synthetic materials.
guess there's two ways to look at it. either way, it's redundant as hell, cause every product's either all natural or not natural at all :D

Where do you see these ads? Personally, I've never seen such a thing...

You've never seen an "all natural" or "chemical free" product?
Amazing.

'Chemical Free'? Never.
'All Natural', that's an entirely different matter. Usually, when something is tagged as 'all natural', it is indeed the case. Just because one sees the word 'phenoxyethanol' (for example), doesn't mean that it's not all natural (as this compound is most certainly natural).
