Remember when Rosamagika changed her username to Water? How did she do that?! I can't see any options anywhere for that.

Absane 01-26-07, 08:22 PM So u used to be able to do it and now they've taken that option away?! :( No, the option was never taken away because non-admins never had the option. Send a PM to Plazma Inferno... he can do it. I had to send a PM to Dave when he ran the forum. I used to be 4DHyperCubix... now I am Absane. Killjoy 01-26-07, 08:45 PM such is life...that when taken away the only thing we got we are helpless...in this desolate cold world... Yes, yes... Pain and Humiliation... Exquisite Agony of the Abyss... Pristine Depth: Refined Embedment. Tasty... Athelwulf 01-27-07, 12:07 AM I used to be 4DHyperCubix... now I am Absane. I vaguely remember that username. Did we know each other in those days? draqon 01-27-07, 01:12 AM I vaguely remember that username. Did we know each other in those days? in past lives...perhaps...we all knew each other. But now...its all gone. forever. redarmy11 01-27-07, 03:17 AM 'cool skill' recently changed his username to 'lixluke', via appeal to the administrators. I think he was getting embarrassed because of constant questions about the nature and extent of his 'cool skills' (he has yet to demonstrate any). Anyway, that's the way to go. I assume that you no longer want everyone who knows you to know that you visit Sciforums? Lurkers out there might want to take heed in choosing a username and come up with something more imaginative and less impulsive than the name on their birth certificate. Stryder 01-27-07, 06:34 PM As already suggested ask the Admin staff, however do note that depending upon the skills of the admin staff decides on how purged your name is from the forums. Old posts you had might still read as being from your old name, people quoting replies will have perhaps your old name located in the post etc. It's totally dependent on if a scripts made to hunt through the database for your particular name string and convert it to whatever the new name is, however such a script would cause some serverload which is why some forums (I'm not suggesting this one) might charge money. Killjoy 01-27-07, 07:56 PM in past lives...perhaps...we all knew each other. But now...its all gone. forever. Thank drok ! The things we did back then ! The brainwashings... The beatings with rubber truncheons... The paperwork in triplicate... And you - You with your jolly humming, your patriotic verve... The way you cinched a garrote and sang Fie, Fiddle-dee-dee ! Thank Gods we pulled a fade when the Empire fell, or the Prods would have stretched our necks in due time... damn them and their "People's Uprising"... Indeed - Best it is gone forever. przyk 01-28-07, 06:03 AM 'cool skill' recently changed his username to 'lixluke', via appeal to the administrators. I think he was getting embarrassed because of constant questions about the nature and extent of his 'cool skills' (he has yet to demonstrate any). He didn't completely drop his old username - just camouflaged it a bit: cool skill => lliks looc => lixluke So you can still ask what his "kul xil"s are. redarmy11 01-28-07, 06:06 AM Ooh. 11/10 there for observation. And here was me, thinking he'd gone and gotten himself a new boyfriend. So 'kul xil'. What are your kul xils? You're taking the p*ss now. We need to be told. We have rights, you know. Absane 01-28-07, 11:22 AM It's funny how we talk to "lixluke" by refering to him as "cool skill." Haha. Nikelodeon 01-28-07, 02:19 PM Lixluke used Cool_Skill on another forum I think, and didnt want it traced back to him. spuriousmonkey 01-28-07, 02:53 PM Is the name cool skill now free? Lurkers out there might want to take heed in choosing a username and come up with something more imaginative and less impulsive than the name on their birth certificate. Actually, I wanted to do just the opposite! I wanted to put my full name in: "John Paul Connellan". I can't remember why I didn't put the Paul in when I joined this forum. Maybe it was for some kind of anonymity. I couldn't give a crap now who reads my posts! draqon 01-29-07, 04:19 PM Is the name cool skill now free? everything in life has a price. ...and the ultimate price is...life. everneo 01-31-07, 01:11 AM at this rate you will be a buddha soon |
