I just had a browse on eBay Australia to see what telescopes they have, and came across this monster... the specified starting bid is $250,000! (no one has placed a bid yet)

Of course, that's Oz dollars, so you US folk could probably afford it out of your pocket money :)

Well, when you said "monster" I thought you meant something like a really big light bucket. :-) It's a 1880 refractor telescope and probably worth every one of those australian dollar.
