I bet Scorsese never thought that the plot line in Casino where Philip Greene acts as the respectable puppet for the Mob fronting the Casino, would serve as a metaphor for the political situation in the Middle East.

all i know is that it's an amazing film
way it's made.....way de niro acts is really good.

yeah...IMHO, DeNiro pulls off a srtonger performance in Casino than he did in Goodfellas, and the on screen relationship between Ace and Nicky is just electrifying.
