I tried to send a large zipped file (1.5 mb) to a bunch of friends, but I get an error message telling me I can't connect to the network. I am in fact connected, the problem I think is that the file is too large for my account. I've tried cancelling it from send/receive details option, but it just starts to resend it. I've tried deleting it from the outbox but it doesn't want to know.

Nick, what can I do to get rid of it?

Have you tried cancelling it then quickly closing Outlook (Alt-F4)?

Go to File and select work offline.

    Then delete the message.

I did that and then restarted the computer. Outlook told me that it hadn't closed properly and asked whether to open in safe mode, I said yes and I was able to delete it. Cheers.

Glad to be of help. And glad to see that sam's more drastic and far less elegant 'solution' was studiously ignored. It probably woudn't have worked anyway. Women and computers eh. They don't mix.

That's all very well and it works and that but Red's solution could have given me a blue screen with white letters on it, which would have been pretty, eh?
