Francoise Ducros has stepped aside as the prime minister's communications director a week after she was heard remarking that U.S. President George Bush was a "moron."

Ducros, who had served in the Prime Minister's Office since 1999, told Jean Chretien the ongoing controversy was making it "impossible for me to do my job."

During a NATO meeting in Prague last week, Ducros was overheard calling Bush a "moron" to a Canadian reporter. A moron is usually referred to as "my esteemed colleague" or, in this case, "Mr. President."

The cardinal sin in diplomacy is telling the unvarnished truth.

This is just about personal attacks from one person onto another . It is not really news worthy. There is very little politics involved.

C'mon man, let us enjoy the soap!

If we chose politicians for their ideas rather than their personality the dull Al Gore would be president, hey even Dan Quayle knew some shit about foreign politics, yet he was no soap material.

The Archie Bunkers of soceity rather choose a "moron" like bush because they can relate him, he could be their neighbour, not some Harvard or whatever nerd....
