Whenever I try to open any folder, "My Computer" etc... the fucken desktop and taskbar icons dissappear. Then they suddenly appear again, but it doesn't open the folder i double-clicked.

The only way to get around this problem is opening MSN explorer, and typing C:\ to open folders. :(

any help guys?

Check for viruses maybe using avast (free for personal use). Also do a scandisk, called "Error checking" from the "Tools" tab when you right click on your hard drive icon and choose properties (check mark the auto fix option) which should be done every few days any ways. Then do a defrag to clean up the arrangement of files on the hard drive. Maybe it's a performance issue. How much RAM have you got and what is your paging file size and your hard drive free space? You can adjust these via the control panel's "System" and the "Advanced" tab. This is for XP. what is your operating system?
