well...what sort of websites are you accessing that the sound does not work while accessing those websites?
Try www.youtube.com any clip there .... does it work in ie? firefox?
download opera browser. see if it works there... if it doesnt.
Than there are two possibilities: 1) it is a hardware problem 2) you got some sort of a bug
No it does not work in opera either, listen dragon before in my other post you thought i was trying to get into someones logon and now your saying its a browser problem seems to me your just shooting into the dark. And also it seems to me its unlikely its a hardware problem since i can hear songs on windows media player fine which i HAVE mentioned.

phonetic 03-30-07, 07:25 PM Did the sound in browsers work on your old monitor (you say it's a new monitor)?
Is it a new PC or fresh install of windows?
Was there any drivers or an installation CD with the monitor that you had to use?
Looks like you where right phonetic it is because of a driver for some reason every time i try to install it , it says it has been installed but it says it has not been digitally signed on the driver tab.Would a driver that has not been digitally signed cause this problem?

Potentially..
Are there two separate drivers?
I mean, it's just an audio cable that connects to speakers in the monitor housing. It doesn't need an audio driver. Seems a little strange. Does the monitor have media controls on it at all? Play, Stop, Pause, etc?
Did you have to install the drivers before the monitor worked? Most things should just work without drivers.
Anyway, I'd try to go back to the old drivers and see if things still work.
go to Control Panel -> System ->Hardware tab -> Device Manager

guess its not because of a driver then, could this be anything to do with the new wireless network. and no it is not a multimedia monitor just standard.
I think i know whats wrong.I THINK there might not be any problem in the monitor but maybe the problem lies in the way the computer recognises the speakers in the monitor, i think anyway.

if you are really bothered by it, reinstall the windows, make sure all drivers (.dll files) of the browser are installed too.
However before you do decide reinstalling the windows. Try this:
First notice what is the model of your monitor is and the company.
Write the model #, name of monitor, company here on sciforums.
I will look for .dll files for you to reinstall to make sure everything works.
This is the company of your monitor: HannsG
webservice_us@hannsg.com
use that email service to ask them your specific question
Anyways you need to tell me exactly the
Product No:
of your monitor.
Than go here: http://usservice.hannsg.net/
and look in downloads section to see what specific downloads there are for your specific 19" wide screen monitor (there are many varietes of this type)
Its a hanns g HW191D
here is the driver for this monitor: http://america.hannsg.net/download_file.jsp?file_name=/_download_/filectrl/HW191D.zip
You need to have unzipping program like: winzip or winrar to unzip this. Than tell me what is inside.
nope didnt work inside is the same driver that came with the installation disk but at least now we know for sure it is not bacause of a driver.

oh...
duh...
Umm from what I just read on countless forums, the sound from this monitor is crappy...and mostly doesnt work. Ever wanted to buy new speakers?
if this could help me the monitor speakers are treated as my left and right back speakers

ok I give up. This is some sort of a specification problem obviously.
oh gush....
Did you try going to control panel, audio settings? try changing things on there, see what happens, make sure you apply the changes and check the internet for sound.
check www.youtube.com sound clips, for testing.
yeah im not saying the sounds great but just seems such a weird thing that they i can hear things from things like windows media player but i can not hear sound from web pages and also i realised i can not hear the windows log on sounds.

I really, really, really suggest you buy separate speakers for your computer. As I said earlier, glancing through countless forums, people say the same thing all over and over again that sound is crap.
Moneys tight and friends are few not to mention the fact im only 15:rolleyes: but yeah i will get new ones

Nikelodeon 04-06-07, 06:11 AM Where were you plugging the cable in before??!! The mains?
haa haaa no into the speaker socket (isnt that where its supposed to go)
darksidZz 04-06-07, 04:36 PM Have you fixed this issue yet?
I've never heard of anything so odd before, the browser not playing audio... I do however think you're problem is fixable. Considering the current setup and should other speakers fail to work there's a chance your volume isn't setup right.
Goto windows volume control, unmute all things, raise all levels, this may correct your problem. You see volume control has seperate audio levels for different things like wave, voice, etc.. this may be why WMP will have audio but nothing else.
Also you can test with other speakers, if they work then it's some flaw, however I doubt it will change anything. I suggest you goto windows sounds and try testing sound schemes, perhaps this is not functional? If not there's oddness there...
If I was there I could fix it in 5 minutes for you but alas I'm not :(

his issue was he Plugged it into the wrong jack. he Put it into headPhone jock and it works now.
