I managed to catch a nice episode of star trek generations last week and unfortunately it was a two part episode and I missed the second part. I can't remember the title either (I know I'm a great help)

Anyway it was the episode where they found Data's head on an old site and they knew that the site had been not uncovered for over 500 years or so. Anyway Data is a bit relieved to find out that someday he will die and through their investigation Data gets transported back in time. He sets himself up in a hotel and tries to build a machine to be able to connect with the enterprise. It also turns out that this is the episode where Picard meets Guinan for the first time because she tells him on the Enterprise that he will have to go to look for Data otherwise they will never meet. Can anyone tell me what the episode is called? Thanks

Thanks so much. I just hated not seeing the second part. I'll search for it online now. Thanks again.

I caught the first one recently. I don't normally bother, but I was waiting for something else to come on TV, and had little else to do.

It was awful. Data's head turns up in a mine, so after some weak protestations from Picard about not going down to the mine, Data does down to the mine. BULLSHIT. There really was no reason to investigate, and get wrapped up in the whole thing.

Yeah it was a bit disappointing and I couldn't see why they had Twain involved. I just watched the last two episodes of Star Trek TNG on youtube and was a little disappointed too. I thought there was going to be something more interesting then the anomaly at the heart of it. Oh well!

I thought that "All Good Things..." was a fantastic episode and SHOULD have been the movie instead of unwatchable "Generations".

You know what I didn't get. I watched an episode of generations on sky last night and it was the one where they beamed Scottie on board. He was somehow in a transporter loop on a ship that they had crash landed on some kind of sphere. They said he would have been 147 years of age if he had lived normally and not been caught in the loop. Anyway what threw me was in the first generations movie wasn't Kirk on board the Enterprise the same time as Picard. You know in the very beginning before he got taken into the Nebula so how the hell would Scottie have been 147 years old when he was beamed aboard the enterprise. I totally didn't get that!
