    Is it not the Big Crunch you're talking about? This is in theory, what happens if the universe is not expanding fast enough, and returns like a ball thrown up in the sky. Nothing you and I have to be scared of though.

    Yeah, it's that theory stating that there is no infinite energy, therefore the universe can't expand forever. The universe would stop expanding and later go backwards.

    However, I really doubt that it would make any kind of change in life (one that you'd be able to feel, that is). Things in the universe are just too far appart right now. Maybe later though, much later, you'd have other stars close by and even later have them crush into your planet and everything else.

    I don't really know much about this either, but it's a thought.
