As Bush always says when he and Kerry refering to Kerry voting to go to war in Iraq that "you saw the same intelligence that I did," why doesn't Kerry reply:

"Yes, Mr. President, the same people who misled you, misled me, the House and the Senate and sent Colin Powell to New York to mislead the UN. So, Mr. President, why haven't you fired them? Is there no accountability in your administration? How can you lead when you don't hold people responsible for grievous errors that have led to the death and maiming of thousands of our troops and tens of thousands of Iraqis, shattered our alliances, and recruited thousands to the banners of terrorism?" Bush would have no answer would he? This is why alotta Americans consider Bush and Kerry to be the different sides on the exact same coin. I mean under Kerry what would really change? Blind support for Israel is a definate(so thus will be hatred for the US)....that was made clear by the VP debates....US wont be leaving Iraq any sooner under Kerry would they? Kerry always says that the US should have gotten International Support for the invasion of Iraq yet Bush tried to get support(even lied and still didnt get it) the problem is that when Bush didnt get it he decided to invade anyway. Would Kerry have done differently?I guess what I'm saying is to not expect much different in the next four years no matter who wins the election :m:

Atleast Kerry would be able to grasp the ground realities, with some effort.

But GWB isn't running his government, so I mostly agree with surrenderer- not a lot will change regarding the morally blind obsession of American leadership with Israel.

However, one important issue is whether Americans want to own the Bush Administration agenda: Re-election would be a public endorsement of the policies that are fast eroding global support and empathy for the USA. Kerry openly values and considers world opinion toward the USA, while Bush has consistently publicly derided such considerations (except during a recent debate, when he tried to paint Kerry as insensitive to our legions of stalwart fighting allies).

The difference between Bush and Kerry regarding perception of the surrounding world could be very significant in a period when the US Dollar is devaluating, US debt is mounting, and US pre-eminence is increasingly under question everywhere. Unless America learns afresh how to "win friends and influence people", and learns how to accept with humility that "blame America" has many merits with respect to our greatest problems, we are in for some very hard times as the blowback from our bad national behavior takes its much-delayed effects. The biggest question bound up in the choice we have this November is "Are we learning anything, America?"

We are in for some hard times and NO, it seems like America hasn't learned enough -- The polls show it. I think America NEEDS 4 more years (or more) of Bush in order to "learn". If Kerry wins, he's going to inherite alot of shit which needs to play itself out. Four years from now, we'll be discussing failed Kerry policies and the need for change. Americans will be even more disillusioned than the are now and will continue to “flip-flop” the crap they vote into office every 4 years. Maybe we (or you) can vote Bush, and hope that we can endure the short term “blowbacks” for America to final LEARN. Hopefully by then, it won’t be too late.
