View Full Version : Bushy, Bushy, Bushy, Where art thou Bushy? Tristan 03-08-03, 08:31 PM Post your honest opinions in more detail if you would like.... Later T Mr. G 03-08-03, 09:10 PM My opinion is: No one here will ever be President. My question is: Why is Bush demonstrably more accomplished than anyone here? (Be honest in your self-assessments.) blankc 03-08-03, 09:24 PM I think Bush senior has alot to do with Dubya being pres. Be honest, his father was president only 10 years ago. A reason why I would never be president (and you are right about that) is because I am not an american. Now as to why he sucks, well there are just soo many ways... I guess he IS actually good to a person who pays alot of taxes, and is christian, or to a millitary serviceman, but to the poor, non christian people, they are totally shafted by him. Tristan 03-08-03, 09:29 PM No one here will ever be President. Probably not. Why is Bush demonstrably more accomplished than anyone here? Because he was born into a RICH, RICH family... his father was president..... yeah, thats about it. Personally, I could never be president because I procrastinate alot.... bad quality for president... and I want to be an astronomer... Later T;) Pollux V 03-08-03, 09:32 PM At least with my current method of thinking, if the presidency is still around when I'm old enough for it, I might make a go at it, or just politics in general. But I think Mr. G is saying that no one here will be president. What I don't believe is how many americans were fooled by this man at the last election. Given his obvious idiocy, his unkeepable promises and his questionable past, it is quite possibly one of the most remarkable events in history for this man to have garnered half of the american vote. That fact alone is a testament to the greater ignorance of America. The man annoys me, he is withering away what made the country good before he came to office (foreign relations, diplomatically and abroad, constitution, economy, etc etc). This is the pattern of conservatives overruning the US government--everything is degenerated and mutilated almost beyond repair. As of now, the US is going to hell. I have a fear that if Bush is re-elected, that toward the end of his second term he will ask the conservative congress and supreme court if he can run again, or simply remain indefinitely. He came to Maine a few months ago, I wish I went to the rally that he was at--I would have loved to have shaken the man's hand. What a wonderful feat accomplished by such an unlikely character, a person who should be the manifestation of the defender of peace, justice, and prosperity for all. Persol 03-08-03, 09:32 PM Persol for President! He will respond to every question... and not answer a one. He will rely on friends and advisors to tell him what to do. He is white and will be old. He looks good in a suit and is good a public speaking. He has recieved blowjobs in his office, and will promise to continue so if elected president. Persol for President! Mr. G 03-08-03, 09:47 PM blankc, et alia: ....to the poor, non christian people, they are totally shafted by him. I am both poor (relatively speaking) and non-Christian. Bush serves my politicosophic purposes quite adequately. Your hypothesis had been falsified. Choose another. ;) Tristan 03-08-03, 09:58 PM Basically I think he's a bafoon for going to war with no allies and no real purpose. What? To kill sadam? Just assasinate him with a seal team. You dont need 10,000 men, 2 aircraft carriers, 500 bombers and a miniture nuke in a pop can to do it (I made the numbers up here). He is NEVER going to get re-elected. He knows it and is just trying to screw things up worse while he still has the chance.... time is running out for mr.bushy. Later T:rolleyes: blankc 03-08-03, 11:28 PM Originally posted by Mr. G blankc, et alia: I am both poor (relatively speaking) and non-Christian. Choose another. ;) If you are poor and non-christian, don't you feel shafted that he puts public funds into religious organizations to help the poor instead of government aid organizations, or non-religious organizations very similar to the religious ones. Also there are the tax cuts targeted for the rich, when tax cuts targeted for low and middle income people would make much more sense. It may be that you approve of Bush's Iraq plans, and you may dislike the democrate party, but that does not change the fact that you are getting shafted in other areas. Or perhaps you are not exactly poor, or not exactly non-christian( a non praticing person who strongly prefers christianity). Or you may be the exception to the rule. Coincidentally , you're probably not that poor if you can afford a computer and internet access. edit: damn,I have bad spelling right now. Bad tetris... zanket 03-09-03, 02:22 AM I thought Clinton was, on average, a superior president. Bush Jr. is by far the worst in memory. Just about every idea he’s floated I could do better, and I am not presidential material by any stretch. |
