"Troops Authorized to Kill Iranian Operatives in Iraq"
How far has Bush surpassed the tactics employed by Stalin?
So now that Iranians are to be shot and a good number of them are in the Iraq's parliament...whats to become of them?

Substitute Iranian operatives with the CIA and you have US foreign policy.
Interesting how quickly Iran has grasped the concept of Western democracy.:p

He has just the one year to redeem himself.
Should've been at least a 150,000 troops.
Maybe he should institute a draft.

I think its time for a different species to run iraq, the humans there are blood lust warlords, how about exporting some monkies or gorillas from our zoo's to take control & run iraq, then construct a giant gladiator ring in africa & let the 25 million or so iraqies fight it out on a daily basis there, there would millions of tourists a week for this blood letting & lust spectacles from tghe iraqi species.
this would solve the poverty in africa, as millions of japanese eat popcorn & sushi & freedom fries as they watch the iraq free for all fights to the death.
Dragon, ure russian, you have Putin as a president... in my eyes he is more dangerous than Bush is because he actually had an extremely intelligent and deadly brain.

Anyone ever read the Book of Joshua?
Bush could stand to learn a lesson or three.

Uh, no. All Americans who love killing Iraqis should be in Iraq right now, since this is all their fault. Or how about no Americans at all? That's an even better idea.

I'd say the armed soldiers with guns are a striking difference.
Somehow, I don't think an opinion has the same impact as a bullet when slamming into the brain.
Its not like I'm saying anything new either.

Intrumentation aside, what makes you expect us to adopt a hands-off policy with regards to Iraq, or anywhere, when you and other non-Americans don't adopt a similar hands-off policy with regards to the USA?
If Iraq is none of our business, what makes the USA anyone's business but our own?
If you make our business your business then we can, and will, make your business our business.
That day has long passed, and now our business is our business and bitching about it won't put the Genie back in the bottle.
spidergoat 01-27-07, 10:23 PM The US and Iran both have "operatives", as do most countries, but the Iranian agents are working against a stable Iraq. The policy of kill or capture seems reasonable, but the list of organizations working against stability in Iraq is getting longer and longer. Bush has always viewed Iran as the enemy, and would favor any chance for escalation against them. If you were cynical, you might think he is trying to start another Gulf of Tonkin incident.

superluminal 01-27-07, 11:01 PM Violence is almost always the best solution to problems involving groups of people who do not accept the correctness of the US of ARMAMENTS. The only thing lacking in our Iraqi policy is not enough violence. The swift and steel-jacketed projectile of US righteousness is what is needed now. Not more troops. More projectiles. High energy projectiles. A rain of democratically depleted uranium slugs.
And tactical nukes. This is the prime arena to actually use these arbiters of democratic reform that we Americans sacrificed so many McDonalds burgers and Coke Slushies to fund.
The current misapplication of actual american troops when US technology is far safer and effective at target neutralization is criminal. We pay for the best weapons systems in the world and then snub the financial sacrifices of our citizens by not using them to full effect.
It has always been clear that those with the best weapons are right. We are doing a great disservice to the Iraqis by not showing them, in full, just how right we are. This results in the current confusion that they themselves might actually have something of value to say about their own situation.
If we, with our ultimately advanced weapons of freedom, don't show the world the correctness of our democratic way of life, who will?

The thing is, I just don't see how that in itself is democracy. A draft in which Americans are forced into a war, risking their own lives for people they couldn't give a fuck about?
It's like, Bush comes up with a bad idea, and now every American eligible for war must pay too?
I can see your point, and yes Americans should be more involved with an important war.
But from a different point of view, perhaps they should have voted in the guy that people would've died for...
