Hurricane Isabel is heading straight to Washington DC at 150 miles an hour. It is expected to arrive to DC on Thursday night. All governments and municipalities in the area were ordered to close for Thursday and Friday.

AlQaeda have already called and claimed responsbility.

You know thats scary i had the same thought last night that someone may claim to be sending the hurricane as divine retribution for the USA's actions.

It's a scary thing, my town in Maryland is right in the Hurricane path.

I also heard that concurrent to watching the storm, they are installing cameras all over the middle east to capture any possible dancing in the street that may be used in the future as solid evidance to declare war.

Not really. I just took everything outside, umbrella, chairs, grill, ect, and put them in the garage. I'll be sleeping in the basement away from windows cuddeled with my two babies in my arms. The hubby works for county department of public works and has been already asked to report to the emergency center to intercept calls. He'll be eating donuts and fried chicken all night, while recieving and making calls.

It should be lots of fun.

If we are going to look at the natural world as being micromanaged by god he might be saying something by making the entire middle east a dry and desolate hell-hole.

If there is enough death and destruction, Isabel may be promoted to "martyr" status after she dissipates.

Little-Boy and Fat-Man would have probally been given martyr status if they were dropped by any of the middle-eastern countries of the day instead of the US.

"Little boys" are sent by their Palestinian (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=28222) parents to become "martyrs" on a fairly regular basis.

thank god no damadge to my home and some branches in the yard. Many people in Virginia, MD, Delaware, New Jersey lost electric and power. Mostly everyone lost the food in the fridge and there was no restraunts open. The traffic lights didn't work as well. I lost power for four days, and just got it late last night. It was so awfull not to have TV, computers, ect.. I had water at least and I was thankfull for that.

This was a great time for reflection for me. I saw the American people for what they really are. In the time of crisis, their true colors show. They cut infront of each others in lines, they fought over batteries. Everyone wished his neighbor was the one without power. At the traffic light, noone gave the right of way to other intersections. I literally left my car and stood in the middle of the intersection and I yelled when the lights are out we behave like this is a stop sign not like this is unlimited right of way green for one direction. Noone helped anyone, noone came to check on us except my family, and my neighbors looked at me like I was a fool or somthing for offering to them my camping stove when I was done. There was definetly hostility and tension in the air, and all for what, a couple of days without TV eating canned food.

My family and I took the four day period to remember the Palestenian people that I'm starting to call "those tortured in earth" to try to even comprehend how they live with no electricity, water, sanitation, schools, ect.. For the Palestenians, the agony doesn't end in four days, and the hostility in the air is a constant component of their life.

Its easy to live without electricity and outside of desert conditions it is easy to get and purify water. Humans have been doing it for most of our history.

Power goes out here and I run out of supplies I am going to start catching grackles and pigeons and I can set up a crude water distillery with a pan, a small stone, a bucket, and a plastic sheet.

Heck... I learned most of this sort of things when I was a kid. Its hard not to when you have a grandmother who grew up as a peasant in Cuba. She never had any modern luxuries when she grew up and made sure our family could do without should anything happen.

She was one tough bird.
