"Addressing Climate Crisis, Bush Calls For Development Of National Air Conditioner (http://www.theonion.com/content/news/addressing_climate_crisis_bush)
June 20, 2007 | Issue 43•25

WASHINGTON, DC—In a nationally televised address reminiscent of President Kennedy's historic 1961 speech pledging to put a man on the moon, President Bush responded to the global warming crisis Monday by calling for the construction of a giant national air conditioner by the year 2015. "

What do you guys think about the idea?

And who said that Bush was an evil dictator!?

Anyway, I'd like to see how he proposes to accomplish this... but it sounds like a good idea.

Powered by fossil fuels.

I like the idea, 100 trillion dollars isn't a bad price for global survival, but if it runs off of fossil fuels it would be better to create a super massive air FILTER. NOT air conditioner!

I have an even better idea, we should do to america something similar to the dome on The Truman Show, with the exception that our dome would have the ability to open and close to let fresh air inside, like a super massive footbal stadium, and of course for night time we would have to replicate the moon as well as the millions of stars.

but what if someone drove a plane into it? Then all that money would be wasted on a gigantic target.

True, from now on lets not build anything, and declare a victory for terrorism.

No need to be that drastic. You could just build everything underground.:)

This is wrong. It's going to give certain individuals a lot of power, and power corrupts.

You gotta look at it this way: how is this profitable for the corporations funding the political parties?
