"Indecent Exposure?
New laws seek to protect breast-feeding in public.

June 11, 2007 issue - A few weeks ago, the actress Maggie Gyllenhaal visited a public park in New York—and breast-fed her 8-month-old daughter, Ramona. Kudos, right? After all, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that moms nurse for at least a year. Nope. Gawker.com posted a picture of a partially exposed breast and called it a "momtroversy." The photo is now on a "nude" Web site."

How idiotic! Why are our societies so fucking retarded!? :bugeye:

I mean... breast shown in public.. SO WHAT!? That should be a natural thing, for a mother to feed her child in public. How stupid! :bugeye:

Why is everyone so worked up on seeing other people's bodies? Like.. who cares!? :bugeye:

i gues it might be confusing for a young child and when a baby needs feeding it needs feeding so they should be able to i mean like raising a child is hard enough without these things making it harder for them

That's dumb. I do remember recently hearing about a law that was passed, that explicitly protects breast-feeding mothers from indecency rules. So that's good at least.

ok personally....Even though its a very natural thing, i would rather not see it.
Some women do it in a very discreet fashion.....which is ok........but i mean I have seen some women that are just so weird like hey look at me......i am doing such a good deed here breastfeeding and need to make a big show of it...

yea lol i spose it could also be confusing for a young child.

As long as they aren't indecent about it, I think it's fine.

Wrongful! Offensive!

Yeah thats what i am saying....be discreet.....but like i said i have seen it....just wipping it out with no discretion at all....Almost to say aren't i a great mom doing this for my baby. Beleive me I didnt breastfeed ( and my boobs are grateful) lol but I got frowned upon like I wasn't doing what I should for my baby.....My kids are more healthy then alot of kids i know who were breastfed. It should be up to the mother and they shouldnt feel bad if they don't....or in my case couldn't after a bad delivery.

SHE SHOULD OF COVERED UP......

there is no need to show the world...

thats what thin small blankets are for....

every mother... carries around all kinds of things, she could use to cover up in public.

it is both wrong... for her to expose herself..

and it is both wrong for anyone to complain about it.

decent people... would just look away... not take pictures.

That's very loving of you. I wonder how that helps for world peace...

It's all just RETARDED. What is wrong with being naked? :bugeye:

I actually want to see the LOGIC behind the word "indecency" when it comes to nakedness.... :bugeye:

Mosheh Thezion
06-04-07, 04:16 PM
SOME people.... should not be naked.

i think you would agree with that...

if you let one good looking woman be naked.

then, YOU MUST, let all the ugly men and women be naKed as well.

if you allow it in a park..

why not in restuarants... and office building lobbies??

why wear clothes at all?

Yes. Why?

In the winter it makes sense, though...

I actually want to see the LOGIC behind the word "indecency" when it comes to nakedness.... It's not based in logic. It's based on cultural values that have been passed down for hundreds of years.

It seems you competely missed the point Mosheh.

The question is, is it a right to breast feed? And, is this right outweighed by any other rights?

just wipping it out with no discretion at all....Almost to say aren't i a great mom doing this for my baby.

Do you really think that this is the motive---showmanship? I thought women were especially conscience of their bodies?

shorty_37
06-04-07, 04:43 PM
yeah i do.......Some women are very strange.......I have seen it not alot but i have....I know some Christian women and hell they are really strange!!

i gues it might be confusing for a young child and when a baby needs feeding it needs feeding so they should be able to i mean like raising a child is hard enough without these things making it harder for themConfusing? This is something that children should be taught. It's a natural part of life that they need to understand.

"How come little Johnny never eats with us? He never eats at all! Do babies not need to eat? Did I not need to eat when I was a baby? When did I start needing to eat? How can babies get along without eating for so long? The puppy is a baby and you told me I have to feed him twice a day or he'll die. Huh Daddy? Huh Daddy? Huh Daddy? Huh Daddy? Huh..."

If America would raise its little boys to be more matter-of-fact about breastfeeding, maybe we wouldn't all grow up to be so obsessed with breasts instead of the other erogenous zone. I've heard women complain about that more than once.

This is something you'd expect in a retarded place like Arabia, where men claim that if they get a glimpse of the skin on a woman's arm, they'll go berserk and rape her so they have to "protect" her... from them. But in America, where we have nude beaches and a growing percentage of teenagers have sex in public, there are people who think breastfeeding is indecent???

Irony Alert!

ive seen lots of women breast feeding in public...

decent women who put a blanket over the general area so it was private and not a public specticle.

those women I can respect.

but without the blanket... shes putting on a show for every sicko man.

thats the reality... men are pigs.

she knows it.

she should of covered up.

I could go on.

What actions and or posting have you done to address the issue of 'men are pigs' or is it primarily women who bear the responsibility for dealing with this issue?

I know for a fact that Breastfeeding is encouraged in first world countries like Singapore, however i never expected someone to make an issue about it in the US, I was thinking that second world and conservative countries like Pakistan or Iran would raise an issue about it.

i think it's a petty thing for people to be worried about. it's a natural part of life, and people should just accept it.

There are so many more important things for people to be stressing about. I do agree that there are some sick bastards that are gonna take advantage of seeing a woman breastfeeding her baby... and that's sick...

But at the end of the day, i reckon it's up to the mother, wether or not she wants to breastfeed in public. And either way, she's gonna cop some slack.. but just leave it up to her to decide how she feels comfortable to do it.

Natural? So's cocksucking, pussy lickin' and fucking natural, but do we want to watch people doin' it on the sidewalks and public parks?

Shitting and pissing is natural, too, but should we allow people to do it wherever they want to?

"Natural" has become a word that's used as an excuse for acceptance of things that aren't so fuckin' natural when it's examined with a critical mind.

Dude, Its not that obscene, you are just taking things way over context, next thing you know ,you'll be banning kissing people on the cheeks by way of greeting then what ? Smiling is obscene to you too ?

Dude, Its not that obscene, you are just taking things way over context, ...

And ye're takin' things way under context. The whole idea, the entire principle of "society" is for like-minded people to live and work together as a like-minded group. A "society" can't just take in any and all weirdos and special interest groups and allow them to control that very "society".

Yeah, exactly. We can set aside fenced off areas for each and every weirdo group in the society ....the cocksuckers area, the breastfeeding area, the fuckers area, the pot smokers area, the heroin freaks area, the booze hound area, the murderers gathering place, the rapists groups, the pedophile group, ........., and any and all such groups ..we just set aside those areas and anyone who wants to do or see the fun can just join right in.

After all, a society should be forced to accept any and all people, with any and all weird and strange ideals and habits, right?

I've had two or three posts "disappear" in the last couple of days. No idea why. And they were on-topic and non-insulting. So I doubt they were deleted.

Just whipping it out with no discretion at all? Huh? As long as there's a baby there to explain it, that's "discretion" enough. (Sorry, Janet Jackson. No excuse for you.) Yeah, maybe in some fantasy idealistic world, women could always cover up, but consider all the likely-quite-valid excuses for not covering up in public:

too hot outside
baby pulls off the blanket
what blanket? Forgot might have to breastfeed.
Many people still believe in having big families, and after the 13th child, like who cares?
People eat in public, don't they?
Well if it was such a "problem," then they would have provided a nursing room?
Well people can look away, if they feel bothered?

I am both pro-life and pronatalist (pro-population), so I am quite willing to overlook it. And I saw some mother breastfeeding at the Church picnic, not covered up or anything. Either nobody else notice or nobody cared or thought anything of it. Another reason I would defend it, is because breastfeeding in public is common in developing nations more pronatalist than us. And I want to do most anything to encourage people to have more precious darling children.

Besides, what man is so "fragile," that we would be "shocked" to see such a natural thing. I mean the burden is on us, as it's not cool to be caught "looking."

It's far more "obscene" to see ugly tattoos and body piercings in public, than just ordinary, natural breastfeeding. Like what baby wasn't fed in some public place? The bottle's "okay" but the natural source, is not? (What thoughts might some weirdo get from seeing a baby bottle?) We should have a law requiring people to cover up any tattoos or body piercings. And probably no bizarre green or pink hair colors either.

As the wacko feminists say (one of the few things I agree with them on), people eat in public, don't they?
