ive been listening to the song by the beastie boys, and i reaaly wanna choreograph it for my girls... however, the are a middle school team, so i have to watch the music i give them... i cant quit figure out what brass monkey is... im pretty sure its a drink... am i missing something obvious?
It's a thing that holds cannonballs. Ever hear the phrase "cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey?" Where that came from is when it became cold enough, the bends in the metal that held the cannonballs in place would pop back into shape, and the balls would go rolling off. Yup.

Brass Monkey -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ingredients: 1/2 oz Rum 1/2 oz Vodka 4 oz Orange juice Mixing instructions: Basically, toss the Rum & Vodka together and stir gently. Next, pour in the orange juice . Shake well. Pour over ice.
i knew there had to be a drinker here somewhere!! thank you sooo much.. i had heard parts in the song where it says "lift the glass" and "drink up" or something.. but i wasn't sure. i mean.. i didn't want my girls to be dancing to a song about guys putting date rape drugs in girls drinks at a club!
