I bought my first car when I was fifteen; a 1938 Oldsmobile, for $50. I maintained it myself with ordinary hand tools. Now, I have to pay a "mechanic" big bucks just to hook up a machine to run diagnostics on the computer that really runs my car. I don't see any technological advancement; the Oldsmobile and the Mercury both get me to the same places in the same time at the same speed limits. What have I gained?

How can revolving apartments improve the quality of life for people who can't afford them? How many ordinary houses could have been built for the cost of building that monster?
