I'm a little frustrated because I came up with what I thought would be a fun idea for a post, but I'm running into a problem because it requires variant blank spaces between the characters. I can't seem to make this happen. For instance: a a a a There are five spaces in the first gap, one in the second, and three in the third. I can't tell, though, by looking at it. Can you? Is there a way around this for the common dolt like me?
a......a..a...a The problem with that method is that when you copy and paste the text, it will not retain it's font color attributes. Well, it didn't in this case. I don't think you can indent with the Tab key either, which is kind of annoying. Since we're on the subject of typesetting, is it possible to insert an image and wrap the text around it, instead of having the image stand alone?
tiassa: Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Yeah, just like you had it, but I wanted to know if it were possible to have several lines of text bordering the picture, which is why I am now rambling on to see if I can do it here and now. Edit: Apparently not. I was hoping to have more than one line of text there...
Perhaps if you mark the post in .html. But I did it with buttons and drag-and-drop in the old Netscape suite, years ago, so I couldn't tell you how to do the markup.
ALT+255(numericpad) can be useful, as long as you maintain the right font. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Alt_keycodes It should come out whitespace, however sometimes it comes out as the generic square for a non-identified character but this is only on custom font libaries.
Code: you can put spaces and have them rendered faithfully if you don't mind the text being in this little code w i n d o w
use Alt-255 as Stryder recommends. It's a useful character. Just type one and then copy/paste it. Note: the 255 has to be entered on the keypad.
