Question: Could it be an alien base of some kind hidden underneath Saturns atmosphere?

It's a nut! The two hemispheres of Saturn are held together with a nut and bolt. I bet the other end is circular. Mind you, some silly so-and-so has overtightened it; hence the burring on the nut and all that stuff that's been squeezed out round the equator and formed the rings.

I do, however, admit my theory falls down if there's not a groove across the south pole to fit the screwdriver!:D
