View Full Version : Biology videos
Hi,
do you know where I could obtain high quality biology experiment videos?
I'm particulary interested on under-the-microscope action, like individual cells, cloning, etc.
I'm interested in plant, animal and fungi videos.
Thanks!

unless you wanted some that are not copyrighted.
Yes, I'd prefer non-copyrighted ones, I'd like to use them as a part of a non-commercial video I intend to put together,
so non-commercial licences are ok as well.
Something like this: Access to the library is free and open for non-commercial educational and research uses. Users can download any and all images and videos for non-commercial purposes.

Try google video or youtube.

Which part of "high quality" you didn't understand? ;)
The part that goes with free and noncopyrighted?
Here is a random one on rotifers

I didn't say non-copyrighted, just non-commercial, which is nothing extraordinary.

non-commercial doesn't mean non-copyrighted.
redarmy11 11-15-07, 05:55 AM Bit Torrent. It's what it was invented for. And instead some people had the bright idea of using it to download the latest fartfest that is American Teen Pirate Ninjas III, thus forever tainting the technology for the rest of us.

that's like hacking. Illegal.
There is actually at least one journal dedicated to publishing biology videos. copyrighted of course
redarmy11 11-15-07, 05:59 AM that's like hacking. Illegal.
I feel duty-bound to point out that it is not.

downloading copyrighted videos with bitorrent is illegal.

I know, I said I'd prefer non-copyrighted, but that non-commercial are ok too.
downloading copyrighted videos with bitorrent is illegal.
Bullshit, it depends on the particular copyright license.
redarmy11 11-15-07, 06:03 AM Yessum.
Nikelodeon 11-15-07, 06:05 AM Bitorrent is used for mainly illegal purposes. Sure a few may download Linux etc but the rest? Fuck off!

yeah, if it isn't copyrighted then is sure isn't. But then it isn't.
redarmy11 11-15-07, 06:07 AM It can be copyrighted by the owner but licenced for free distribution with the proviso that appropriate credit is given.
For instance.
