I just wanted to ask anyone if they had noticed any of this biological weapon training, and nuclear fallout training thats going on at the moment, i know there is alot of activity around london, but is this just hype, and a tactic the government is using to scare people into supporting the war?.....i was hoping someone may give me a link and point me in the direction of some information about this?.......
Not got any links yet other than a few of the more impartial news paper reports *if there is such a thing in this day and age*. The wording the official line takes really shows that its just for show. Cordoning of central london *now thats a good show stopper* and enacting a "Dramatic Live test" Involving hundreds of emergency services and volunteers. 0_o What a joke. Given they can't even equip our boys on the front line with decent protection *our guys in Iraq would of literally starved to death already if it wasnt for the yanks i hate to admit, being dumped there without shelters of supllies in the headlong rush to war, there bio protection was out of date but instead of getting new gear the army extended the warnatees on their gas masks and suits by 10 years well past the manafacturers suggestions* If they do use chemical weapons, a lot of our guys will die. Do you think all the emergency services can attend the attack that happens to be nicely cornered in one part of london with decent kit? Nope. Its for show and even if it does happen it won't do any good. *on a side note* I still think it's funny that if we really belived they had WMD capable of hitting us (I know they dont say this out front as it would be dismissed out of hand but they go out of the way to make us feel that way) would they really spend this long to wind him up and make it blatant that they will not only attack him from the start no matter what but start the war with "Shock and awe tactics" (Just call it terror tactics like everyone else) , "Dropping more bombs on baghdad in the first 48 Hours than were dropped in the entire 1st gulf war put together", and then say "We our doing this to protect the Iraq civilians and people" , "We will take all steps neccesary to avoid civilian deaths", "Sadams tactics cause the deaths of civilians not us". ...hmm...dropping more bombs on a populated city in a very realy attempt to recreate the "power and destruction of the Hiroshima bomb using conventional pay loads in attempt to Shock and Awe" will "protect the iraq people" and "not kill civilians" and any that do die, its sadams fault cause he "alegedly has secret bunkers underneath and around the cities..that no one has ever seen, had proof of but the americans know are there" I still have not seen a single good reason for this war other than the usual bs *this is a topic for the other threads though* and even if there was a good reason there is NO! good reason for the overkill and massive and deliberate attack on the civilian populous and civilian infrastructure *Water purifiers and power plants are already listed targets* that will kill untold numbers of civilian deaths when the country already is devestated and has been under attack by the US and british for the last 10 years and i'm not even getting started on the Americans assertion that "in the even of higher than expected american casualties we will use tacical nuclear bombs" and there attempt to create "mini nuclear bombs" for use in smaller scale and bunker conflicts i think was the term they used, i have to look that one up again. ..on a last side note give all this time its taken to make preperations for this war and only now are they about ready how comes they were ready for the war in Afghanistan within weeks of Sep 11...it's well know they have been looking to do this for a long time and now they got there excuse. First afghanistan, now iraq, then what..iran?..then N.Korea to give them bases right next door to China so they can bully them too......I want them to stop before Iraq but if they dont they are going to think they can get away with it..and carry on...I don't see how they can get very far before they push about one too many. *** (Even Hitler wasnt stupid enough to attack china "Don't wake the sleeping dragon", yet bush openly puts them on his list as a "Strategic competetor" and announces in his various bills that they will take "Pre-emtive action" against and threats before they evolve or threats to Americas strategic interests"...that would include china...and europe actually..and the Euro that may soon threaten to replace the dollar as the universal currency if it takes off and the arab states pick it up..if its still there then... Hes declared WWIII and even if the governments of the world suck up to him the majority of the people of the world are not behind him and i can see him going down in history next to Hitler and taking the name of America with him. ..just my opinion.
