The Arab-language television station, al-Jazeera, has broadcast a message said to be from Osama bin Laden, in which he calls for Muslims to stand with the Iraqi people against the United States.
The message was contained in a poor quality audio recording in which a man's voice, identified as Bin Laden's, is heard calling for suicide attacks against Americans and resistance to any attack on Iraq.

what a way to find a new reason to attack iraq.... great.. the article does mention that the tape didn't provide any evidence that Al Qaeda and Iraqi regime had any relations... the americans are really pushin it... didnt hear about osama for months, but now he's back in action... nice move...

I listened to it today, but didn't hear anything that would conclusively link Al Qaeda with Iraq. But it was poor quality, and long, and I've heard no real analysis yet.

Why do we only get audio from Bin Laden now? Is there reliable proof that he is even still alive?

why are you insinuating that the US, powell, americans have come up with this tape of bin laden. we are not the ones who released it. why not just wait and see what happens. i am sure they will be able to check it for voice matching with the true bin laden. or do you suppose bush disguised his voice and made the tape himself?

Since Al-Jazeera aired it, I doubt the US had anything to do with the making of this tape. However, that doesn't mean it's not a fake. There are alot of groups out there that have an interest in keeping Bin Laden alive, even if he's dead...

I don't think it matters who first "aired" this tape, I think it's false. It's more propaganda for whoever, and it's another weak prop for war.

If USA are going to war on Iraq then I would want to see hard evidence for it.

I'm sick of hearing Iraq have WMD, but the inspectors fail to find anything.
Intelligence claiming they have evidence of WMD, but still nothing to be found.

I say that the intelligence should fly out to Iraq to show the inspectors exactly where the WMD are. But this won't happen will it? I wonder why :rolleyes:

Well the last tape that released the US said it was Bin Laden. But some switzland scientists did an independant test on it and claimed it wasn't likely to be Bin Laden.

Breaking news, "NEW" Tape doctored by the Americans to have Bin Laden speak out to make it seem that the two forces are linked. How did the Americans do it. They took someone off the street, payed them money to do their best immitation of Bin Laden, then got a previous tape and adjusted the strangers voice to sound like the origonal. Then on CNN show the exact same picture of Bin Laddin you have been showing for the last 2 years. Yeah that America's most wanted picture:p
