I heard there was one that was supposed to hit us in 2009 on a news ticker or something. Sorry, don't know any more info. I'll do a paranorML search and post again if I find anything.
Hasn't anyone heard that something really big is suppose to happen in 2012. So many predictions and scientists have all said something is suppose to happen in 2012.
December 12, 2012 is when the Mayan Calendar ends. All of the planets will be aligned, but it's just the end of a mathematical cycle that starts over the second it stops. I wouldn't be too worried, but just in case, make sure you have a nice, big bed to hide under (like I do). Ya never know.

If only we could be so lucky... Earthquakes aren't predicted very accurately even mere days in advance, let alone 10 years in advance.
That was Cayce i believe, and is due to climatic changes. but he didn't say how. i find it interesting that throughout history and presently a growing number of theories and predictions fall around the same time.
About Dec 12, 2012 I know this may sound a bit odd, coming from one such as myself, as well as any here on earth. I've seen, if that is what you wished to call it, that somethign will happen upon this date. Now whether its the earth's end, coming of Christ, or whatever, I do not know. Personally I do not believe much about armegadon, I believe its just going to be a change-a dramatic one.
The five planets will align on that day. Should be a hellofa good stargazing night. Who could ask for more? Winter, clear atmosphere, cocoa, and five planets within a few inches of each other in the sky. I think we should organize a mass hide-under-the-bed day. On this day, everyone on Earth, at the same time (EST) should just hide under their beds and start "cowering." That could be the big thing. And then, if an asteroid hits us from out of nowhere, we'll all be fine, because the monsters FROM the asteroid will definitely not expect us to be hiding under our beds, because, well, that's where the monsters would usually hide. It'd be like returning to the scene of the crime. Who does that?

Interesting man, look up the band "Tool", (on the internet) "Niburu". I personally do not believe in this event, although proof is strong. Because was is truth? A perception, easily distorted, and thus, unreliable. Mayans believed in cicular sequences, not so much linear, so how could there be an end? How about, like mentioned before, a turn over? Would this create a revolution, maybe only within our number based systems, or our minds? I think time is neither circular or linear, but in the form of a spiral, thus maybe something in 2012 will happen. I think you refer to Nibiru, which ok a band might have sung about, but is a lot more important than that. The Sumerians described the shaping of the cosmos with such accuracy that is known to have been impossible. They explained all about the planets, how they got to where they are, hell even the Kupier Belt. Really, read up on it, it's very interesting. Nibiru is the Twelfth planet, the missing planet. Story has it that planet is a rogue travelling through the cosmos. In time it's gonna come hurtling back here and squash us all. Might aswell forget to invest for the future. As for us all being destroyed in the near future by an asteroid, Nibiru, or giant space frogs I have only one thing to say: Would it actually be such a bad thing? 2012 You might be refering to a statement Jim Jones had made from his compund in Guyana. He predicted that around that year the Western world would undergo a federal fallout and a sign would appear above Galilee in October of that year. Nostradumus supposedly had a clause concerning this same year, but the interpretions were done soon after 9-11 when we suddenly became patriots and Nostradamus insta-buffs. I think its marginalized bullshit- Jim Jones is dead and so are his people. Nostradumus is flim-flam. Nothing is going happen. I'll tell you what will though. I'll be sitting at home amazed at the mathematical skills of brown savages.
yeah okay Well reagardless if anything happens 2012, I think just lookign at all the evidence people have brought up is intresting enough. I mean you have to admit that there are a lot of things pointing at it, not just the dead guy and the myains, but countless stories and phrophecies and just, oddly, the plants alignment and so on. But you know i did hear one thing that wasn't brought up all the way. I though that was intresting, seems Atlantis has been comign up a bit lately in popular discusion, I wonder why. If even it did exsist, I'm sure they are all dead and we'll just find a buch of pots under the water some time in the future. And what's this about a metor coming at us? ^.-
