I watched Children of Men last night and I want more!

While I'm on the subject, I saw a movie when I was young... a movie from the 70's or early 80's. A guy was for some reason alone in the world. I think he even had a cardboard cutout to keep him from going insane.. I think later he met up with some more people, but I've always wanted to see the movie again, but don't know what it's called.

P.S. It's not that Charlton Heston movie.

Terminator series was good. Armageddon sucked but Deep Impact was good. Day After Tomorrow sucked.
    What about Logan's Run?

Holy Crap, there is even a web site devoted to all books/movies that are 'end of the world' stuff.
Apparently they are making The Mist, one of my favorite stories by Stephen King. CAN'T WAIT!!! :bravo: :runaway:

where they were making all the dead people into little blocks of green food, yeah brilliant i loved it!!!

wish they'd show it on TV more though!!! a system where they let you commit suicide, and then get turned into food, yeah good film.

man I thought I was the only person in the world that liked waterworld and the Postman.

Same here (re Waterworld). According to the critics, however, it was a bust. I like just about anything with Dennis Hopper in it. I never saw the Postman.

True 'The Day After' was silly. The British movie 'Threads; much better.

There's a movie (name?) with vincent Price I've watched a couple times and caught bits and pieces now and then of on a sci-fi channel. I think Omega Man was a 'sort of' update on it. Price's mission is to survive while rooting out the walking dead-with-an-attitude. The theme of the Price movie is a bit corny but it has good atmosphere. Much of the movie is a narration in his incredibly haunting voice.

I read the book first. The movie stayed pretty faithful to it. I tell you what, I never looked at a copier repair man the same way again.

And the Vincent Price and walking-dead-with-an-attitude thing....I think that was the Thriller video.

No, silly. It was a movie in the 50's.

As for Michael? I'm too old for him....over 12.

This joke should really be spoken, but
What does Michael Jackson like about 28 year olds?
    There's twenty of them!

Any apocalyptic zombie films are pretty cool to me. I have a soft spot for zombie flicks though.

Mad Max 2 is one of my favourite, I like Waterworld too.
But my favourite post-apocalyptic universe is that of Fallout.
Soylent Green is pretty neat too, I love the song by Wumpscut about it.
