What is the best FTP client? I have tried a few, but none really leaped out at me. One of the main features I'm looking for is free. ;) I suppose trialware would be ok too, I don't FTP that much, and reinstall often.
I suggest that if we get a good list in here, maybe we could add it to the FAQ.

I use IE6. I have a list of FTP sites in my favorites and just drag and drop files as needed. And its free.
I use Gftp on linux, cuteFTP when on windows, but if you want a free windows ftp prog, then consider WS FTP LE (http://www.ftpplanet.com/downloadLE.asp)

I use WS_FTP Limited Edition. It is free to certain academic, U.S. government and non-business home users.
I'm quite happy with it.
I always thought that ment "light edition" :D :m:

I tried FTP Voyager last night. It works ok, I suppose. But, I can't get into a certain FTP because I'm behind a router and this FTP can't handle that. It suggests WS_FTP Pro, because it can substitute your internet IP instead of using lan IP. There is a setting in FTP Voyager that looks like it does the same, but I haven't had any luck in getting it to work. Anyone know anything about this?
I'll download WS_FTP Pro if it's a trial, see if I can get it to work. I could always configure my router to forward packets, but that's a pain in the ass, and I hate opening ports like that.
Bulletproof FTP is the best, but ofcause its not free
or you can get a cracked cuteFTP Pro (if it's a home computer)

WS_FTP works with the server. It turns out that FTP Voyager does substitute the ip address, but it somehow connects too many times. The server only allows two at a time. It kept denying me because I was flooding it. FTP Voyager looks better, but WS works.
I'll try the others you recommend as well.

Consider FileZilla (http://filezilla.sourceforge.net)
