I personally am an atheist, but from your poll, you assume that someone could not believe that a god created evolution, which makes your poll pretty worthless. I know several devout christians who believe their god used evolution as his tool to create life.

One must realize that each of the specialized dogs has been selected artificially by man for certain traits such as size. It will have less genetic information and is less complex than the original pair of dogs. As such it is potentially less able to survive in nature than the original pair. Does this sound like “survival of the fit?” More, not less, genetic information is required for particles-to-people evolution. Microevolution macroevolution means that the original pair of dogs descended from some other kind of creature, which arose eventually from nonliving chemicals. This extrapolation from what is actually observed is in dispute by vast numbers of highly trained scientists, not just Bible believers.

I actually do believe that god created all things ..... but what i meant by evolution or god is do you believe that all existense of life started from one cell. God created all life. He didnt start from just one cell. He made it clear that the life he created would adapt to its surroundings. so that is what i mean. I was just curious about how people felt.

Apparently God created many life forms at the same time. We know this because life is inter-dependent on each other. He also created a paradise environment which would not require a "survival of the fitest" and species killing each other. That came later to this world and apparently by evil aliens.

Deist27,

I normally wouldn't post here but this is the first time I've seen Deist used. It caught my attention. I am a Deist.

Gotta go watch the Prez.

Good to know I am not alone MacM. Here is something to share with you about Deism:
There is a difference between what is right and what is powerful which must be demonstrated. Right does make Might and Wrong can make one powerful also. The difference between the two is that Might does not make Right, which is demonstrated here on earth apart from power. We know this because a drug pusher can get rich and the inventor of a fabulous new invention, improving the lives of millions, can get rich also. Ideally then, humans develop systems based on principles, not power, on earth, to delineate power and principle forever. This we do find as further discussed in part two as developments from the Bible, Jefferson's Deism and The Great Democratic Experiment (U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence). These documents define good and evil apart from power as will be explained.;)

You know god and evolution are not mutually exclusive: you can still believe in evolution and god at the same time!
