But how can they throw someone in the nuthouse without evidence? You could pretty much point your finger at anyone and say they are cookoo and they would be taken away? I don't think that is constitutionally correct. I thought it was "innocent until proven guilty". By having to go into an institution for pyschological evaluation against your will, you are already deemed guilty. I think it has the potential to be abused, this Baker Act.

many of those were people were baker acted more than once in that year.

around 1000 people were baker more than 6 times in that year
