    Hello Sci-forumners;

    I'ts been a while, I've been having a good time: Everything in Vegas is a bit more expencive than when I last lived here, the rent has gone sky high, car insurance is incredible, and everything else groceries, electrick, water, everything!!. But it's all worth it, really, folkes the opportunity to get into a good position in a casino restaurant. is here, (though I only found a job, in manufacturing thus far) it pays ten bucks an hour, so my income has already jumped, by two dollars. not bad, really. I've haven't been gambling. I'm here to make money!.

    If I gambe it's been 5 or 3 bucks the most.

    Mom is loving it though!! I'ts cheaper to go out and eat here than to shop at grocery stores, so she really digs that!!. lol..

    I didn't want to set up a phone line, so I waited untill I could afford to get cable (I had a previous balance) LOL.. forgot all about that. From the last time I lived here, but I've been connected today. Finally!.

    I've been inspired to write, since I've been here, and been writing my reasons for moving to Vegas, will work it into a book (hopefully) on recovering from drug abuse, or how to overcome drug abuse, but I've barely begun and get cought up doing other things, for example I've begun writing a short novel, about a teen age kid who lost one of his parents in the tragedy of 9-11. Been reading Nietzsche's "HUMAN, ALL TOO HUMAN", and entertaining my mom, so everything I do will move at a slow pace.

    I'ts nice to be back.

    Godless.

    Nice to see you are in Vegas Godless.

    Are you in Summerlin, Green Valley, Henderson?

    Summerlin is beutifull, but a bit out of my league. Green Valley is a bit more affordable, however I wanted to live closer to the casinos, Henderson is just a bit too far, but it's also really nice. I'm actually in Las Vegas, I live about 2 miles from the strip. Though we are planning to live in the west side, closer to Summerlin, it's closer to were I work. However my adventureous mom wants to check out Reno!. So before we settle n purchase a home, we'll have to take a trip over there. I like it here though. I need to recoup my expences of the move, before buying a home. That will take a while my Visa is maxed.. LOL..

    If you are planning long term stay I wouldn't recommend staying closer to the casinos. Unless you have oodles of cash or want to walk around aimlessly like a braindead tourist -

    Going South on Las Vegas boulevard, a bit past the Blue Diamond exit and the mall, there's a bunch of homes not too expensive, very affordable.

    Thanks for the Tip SouthStar, I'll have to check it out. However mom's got her eyes on the west side past Decatur on Flamingo ave, there are some nice apts, upthere and they have a great view of the valley.

    For M*W.

    Check this out, a month before moving to Vegas. I predicted it will rain the day I arrive here moving with my belongings. It was raining when I was approaching the valley. said and done.

    A few days latter it rained yet again, and then again the very following day. I had previously joked with mom, "I'm bringing water to the dessert". Weird?.. Huh
