    i have got an image of size of about 1.8 MB and i wanna use it under my name,how do i shrink to the size required by science forums

    Various ways with various programs let me see.....you should be able to do something with the basic imageing program that comes with windows. Its in start_Prgrams_accessiories.

    just go under help and type in iimage size and it should help you out. you'll figure it out

    I've mentioned this one before when Shrike asked about how to resize their avatar.

    My immediate response was similar of using a paint program (or package) but I know that some people might be using a system that lacks the software and they can't install it for some reason.

    So I found this site that aided Shrike and their avatar.

    This site can load your browser up to act like a paint program, and you can then change your image in size, and even add effects etc.

    Hope thats of use.
