I always specify 'unlimited' as amount.

Must've been one of those infomercials which hook people by showing some borderline retarded person saying "I made 60k last week from my net business where i dont actually work, and plan on making 2 mil next year!!!!!", causing the viewer to be infuriated that someone apparently that much dumber than them has a freaking pool in his back yard.

Yes, I do.

The way most people make money off of their websites is by hosting advertising. Every time someone clicks on an ad on your website, the company who posted the ad owes you a certain (very small) amount of money. People can be clicking all night long, so you're making money. The more popular your website is, the more people visit it, the more people click on the ads, and the more money you make.

Beware of people telling you how to make a fortune on the internet. They intend to sell you something, which will help them make their own fortune, not yours.

Generally the customer pays for 1,000 visitors and in theory, the site will have 1,000 real life visitors within the span of a few days. This might work by posting ads on other sites just long enough for the 1,000th click... then they are removed.

The whole process is automated. A guy I talked about this says that he easily pulls in anywhere from $30 to $800 in a single day by doing nothing.
