View Full Version : Auras...
Banshee 03-25-02, 11:54 AM Introduction:
We speak of the individual and the Universe.
But within the individual, there lies a universe as well.
Auras, our own personal rainbows.
They are also described as Emotion in Motion.
There is a life force, an energy field surrounding every living thing on Earth. Researchers have announced the existence of this field. Yale researchers have determined that disease can be detected in the aura before it manifests in the physical body. The colors seen in one's Aura can be associated with the colors of the chakras and energy levels can be detected through careful study of the Aura with the chakra color. You can also read the auric levels of plants, trees, animals, any living object on the earth can be read.
Remember, we are all energy beings surrounded and enveloped in various degrees of energy and motion.
The Science of Auras
To speak on Auras, first venture into the scientific realms, understanding that science and spirituality are completely linked in truly understanding the Cosmos. One day, both sides will understand this and they will come together to work and gain deeper understanding of the Universe.
There is a universal force of nature which is called Chi, or Qi or Universal Energy. If one could view Chi with the naked eye, you would see that it goes in spirals, similar to how the DNA molecule is viewed. It spirals down from the sun, the moon, the planets, the stars and on and on... Each celestial body has an effect on us. To those who doubt, at least examine what types of effects these bodies have on us in the physical realm.. for example, if the moon has the power to affect the massive oceans on Earth, does it not also affect your body, which is made of so much water? Does not the force of the Sun, give photosynthesis to plants to grow? What happens to your body physically if you stay out in the Sun all day, do you not experience sunburn, dehydration, heatstroke? If these bodies can affect our physical body, it is easier to prove scientifically rather than to disprove that they also have an effect on our mental and astral bodies as well.
When brought these theories down into a more personal level, albeit, we come to the study of our personal Chi.
As noted psychoanalyst Carl Jung said, We are born at a given moment, in a given place, and like vintage years of wine, we have the qualities of the year and of the season in which we were born.
We all have our own Chi, which begins at birth, when we take our first breath. The most profound statement that I could ever teach anyone, and I could spend decades teaching this one statement in greater detail is, THE BREATH IS THE LIFE!
Our Chi is singular and unique and eminates within and throughout us as energy. With each breath we draw inward, we are bringing in Chi that is around us, with each exhale that we make, we are releasing Chi back to the universe. Let's think about this for a moment..... The Chi we breathe in, is taken from the air that is closest around us. Now given the fact, that Chi is energy and energy is neither positive or negative, it just is, but it can be charged with positive or negative sources, which we can create around us. For example, have you ever been around someone and just felt a strange vibe, or felt that this person was unhappy, spiteful, angry and you didn't even know them? Their emotions are spilling forth from inside their body, outward around them. So in this state, as they are angry and breathing in, they are breathing in the negatively charged air that they are creating and it serves to add fuel to the fire. It is easy to understand then how one can create and then be trapped in a cycle of thinking and then feel unable to snap out of that feeling. Take Depression for example.. the person becomes depressed over a period of time, as they become depressed, their thoughts are directed in this mood, and their energy is low. They feel fatigued, lethargic and they also tend to breathe very shallow. As their depressed thoughts extend outward from them, they continue to breathe in the same negatively charged chi and the cycle continues until something is altered to charge the air differently. Depending upon the severity of the depression, defines how easily or difficult the air and mood is lifted. A person who is feeling depressed because of a loss of a job or a love interest, may snap out of their feelings after a few weeks because of an incredible job offer they receive or meeting a new person. A person with a deeper depression, may require help from other sources such as a therapist to help them review and alter their thoughts and perceptions and in some cases, medication to help alter the chemical balance that has been created long term within the body from the depression that was created. This assistance helps the person to search within themselves and find within their soul, hope and purpose which gives strength to move forward and subconsciously renew their Chi and recharge their energy.
If you think about this for moment, you will recall old sayings that we still use today... After a fight, someone might say.. We need to clear the air or someone who has been down and working too hard might say, I need a breath of fresh air, a vacation away.. or when something just doesn't feel right, but you can't place your finger on what it is.. someone may say, There's something in the air....
Our Chi eminates outside of our body and can be described as a type of force field that encompasses our body. This is what many describe as one's Aura. With modern advances, a type of photography has been created that can actually photograph the Aura. A person who has studied Auras can read much information from a person's Aura, including their mood, emotions, and many aspects of the personality.
While we're talking colors, how does color affect our life?
Whether or not we realize it, we are all affected emotionally by the colors that surround us. In our home, the colors that we choose reflect our personality and our feelings at that time. Colors also influence our guests and the other family members in our home.
Color researchers have found that when people are placed in red rooms, that their pulses and body temperatures increase, when the same people are placed in a blue room, the opposite effect occurs. The following are examples of emotional and psychological influences that color can cause and how choosng a color can change the feel and attitude of your home.
RED... Red stimulates our nervous system and increases assertiveness. Reds make us feel empowered and energetic. they are great for areas where physical activity is happening, like a workout room. Do you have trouble getting out of bed in the morning? Paint your bedroom red and you'll jump out bed. Red seen in the aura indicates passion, courage, enthusiam, and excitement.
ORANGE...Orange is also stimulating. Red and orange also increase the appetite. This is why these colors are so popular in restaurants and especially fast food restaurants. When these colors are present, not only are you hungry and want to eat a lot, but your nervous system is also stimulated so that you want to get out of there quickly. Orange is a great color for a dining room as it helps people loosen up and laugh more. Around orange, people are usually more gregarious. In an orange dining room, dinner parties will last longer and seem more interesting. Orange seen in the aura indicates energy, optimism, and positive thoughts
PINK...Pinks offer a sense of well being and make people feel affectionate and positive toward others. Pink was once the staple of little girls bedrooms, but new shades of rose, mauve and blush have become popular choices in carpets, furniture and social areas like living rooms. A light shade of pink can be used as a neutral background much like a gray. Pink seen in the aura indicates friendship, affection, devotion, and tenderness.
YELLOW... Yellows remind us of the sun. They make a dark room appear to be bright and cheery. Yellow can visually expand the space in a small room, but pale yellow should be used in a small room or it can be overpowering. Yellow is terrific to brighten up a bedroom or a living room, especially when combined with royal blue. Yellow seen in the aura indicates luck, intelligence, and acadenic acheivement.
GREEN... Greens are symbolic of gardens, meadows and forests. When we are surrounded by green, we feel calm, refreshed and at peace. Green is great for bedrooms, bathrooms and other areas where tranquility is desired. Green brings nature indoors, no matter where you live. It is also very helpful in cooling down a room that receives a lot of hot sunny weather. Green seen in the aura indicates money, prosperity, abundance, and a love of nature. Light Green indicates health, new beginnings, youthfulness.
BLUE... Blue is the most popular color of choice by most people. It symbolizes relaxation, serenity and a deep peace. Blue in the home can be used to psychologically cool a home in a warm climate and combined with contrasts of yellow or gold, blue can brighten a home and its occupants moods almost instantly. Blue seen in the aura indicates peace, calmness, communication, and intuition. Light Blue indicates spiritual and psychic development, and compassion.
PURPLE...Purple is a deeply spiritual color and inspires awe and respect. When made lighter into lavender, it become comfortable and assuring. If you suffer from insomina, lavender is great in a bedroom, as it lowers blood pressure and relaxes the mind. Purple however is powerful and regal and makes a statement in any room. Small touches of purple can affect the mood of the entire room, even a few throw pillows in this color will excite the room. Purple seen in the aura indicates intuitiveness, confidence, and spiritual advancement.
BROWN... Browns symbolize down to earth features. Brown is stable, secure and supporting. The brown family includes beige and taupe and are great for neutral areas in the home like kitchens. Browns bring rooms together, yet stay in the background. They neither activate nor pacify emotions, they cooperate with the other colors, serving to bring them to light. Brown can be considered the frame of a painting. Brown seen in the aura indicates stability, practicality, and acquiring land.
The Chakras and exact locations with explanation, will follow. As Aura reading shall come to order...

Banshee 03-25-02, 12:38 PM Yes, I know that. The intention here is to let people know how they themselves can see an Aura and interpretate. It is an introduction, the first post, to let people know what's at the base of Auras and Aura reading. :)
It's easy to let someone take a photograph of an/your Aura, it changes all the time, so it is better when you yourself can read them and know how to do it.
For the ones who are interested...:) :)
To speak on Auras, first venture into the scientific realms, understanding that science and spirituality are completely linked in truly understanding the Cosmos. One day, both sides will understand this and they will come together to work and gain deeper understanding of the Universe.
Banshee, I don't give a rat's ass about the rest of it, but don't call this 'science'. It is not science.
If these bodies can affect our physical body, it is easier to prove scientifically rather than to disprove that they also have an effect on our mental and astral bodies as well.
And if it existed.
Do you have one shred of evidence for its existance?
We all have our own Chi, which begins at birth, when we take our first breath. The most profound statement that I could ever teach anyone, and I could spend decades teaching this one statement in greater detail is, THE BREATH IS THE LIFE!
How do you propose to test this if it is scientific?
It is not. Kindly do not represent as such.
[Xev] - many things were not concerned as science before. In Middle Ages alchemists vere burnt down , but today we know tht those people laid the foundations of modern chemistry. . To quote one unknown source "What a large book can be written of what humans know!, and what even more bigger of what they don't." If by science you think of everything tht is proven by know then of course auras can not be concerned as science. But what about teleportation, AI, FTL travels, nano- bots, time travel. Tht is all possible and not less thn auras, btw.
How much of Banshee's theory is true- I don't know, maybe there are auras, but not as banshee thinks of them.
Science is everything of what is not known, but possible.
[leave god outside this. I'm not talkin about religious madness];)
Cheers!
Banshee 03-25-02, 06:31 PM Information!!! ...Parapsychology is the study of the unexplained. (unexplained science :p) No essential evidence necessarry, the evidence there is, is given to you and shall be given as much as possible. :) Isn't that beautiful? :) How many times do I have to explain this people?? I get a little tired of it...
Can we stay at the Auras please? They are indeed visible, the first post is an introduction.
Avatar, what do you mean by: *but not as banshee thinks of them.*...?
Banshee does not think, Banshee sees...:bugeye:
but tht doesn't exclude the thing tht auras may exist
before electro-microscope was invented, we couldn't prove tht atoms existed
maybe the method is wrong, nothing more
See Ya
Who says psychology is science? Is drug effect a science? is it repeatable like speed of light, time after time all the time? Then again...Science....
Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French, from Latin scientia, from scient-, sciens having knowledge, from present participle of scire to know; probably akin to Sanskrit chyati he cuts off, Latin scindere to split
1 : the state of knowing : knowledge as distinguished from ignorance or misunderstanding
2 a : a department of systematized knowledge as an object of study <the science of theology> b : something (as a sport or technique) that may be studied or learned like systematized knowledge <have it down to a science>
3 a : knowledge or a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operation of general laws especially as obtained and tested through scientific method b : such knowledge or such a system of knowledge concerned with the physical world and its phenomena : NATURAL SCIENCE
4 : a system or method reconciling practical ends with scientific laws <culinary science>
5 capitalized : CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
Main Entry: behavioral science
Function: noun
Date: 1951
: a science (as psychology, sociology, or anthropology) that deals with human action and seeks to generalize about human behavior in society
May be Aura Science should be defined as : an interdisciplinary science that draws on many fields (as psychology, sociology, and philosophy) in developing theories about human perception, thinking, and behavior in society
just a thought....
defenestrated 03-26-02, 01:08 PM it is infinitely more sensible for humans to accept the possibility of a particular phenomenon's existence than to rule it out entirely - because, as said above, the further science advances the more the field of what we do not understand expands; if history is to be any lesson, that is, we should realize we've spent most of our time denying the existence of things somebody eventually managed to prove were true.
yet it's apparently just as tempting as it is illogical for people to assume that if it hasn't been explained to them yet then any evidence is simply a chimera. how silly of us.
(that's all to say, i have no opinion either way on this subject, but just 'cause i haven't seen china doesn't make me feel comfortable asserting that it isn't there.)
LaulavaPuu 03-26-02, 05:49 PM I agree with you defenestrated.
I think people should really be more open to new things so they could learn more. If all people were skeptics then we would progress very slowly and only make little steps forward and only if those were backed up by something that is aproved to be right and have lots of hard evidence behind it. Seems like skeptics aren't creative in areas that are new to us and those who are they try to label lunatics and stone them down with angry criticism. Criticism is of course welcome but it gets boring if it comes always from same guys living in their dusty box which is their whole world and everything outside that box can't be real and is just fiction. But at least it is safe to live in dusty box that changes slowly and is quite stable. It's never too late to come out of that box though and start to search for alternative ways. First thing you should do is to start search for your true higher self, even if you couldn't complete that task in this life. :)
And please Banshee tell more, this is really intresting subject and one that I would like to learn. It would be nice if you could include some simple practices that you can start with. I'm really looking forward for your next Aura related posts! ;)
And please skeptics don't post this thread full of crap messages that have no value at all to no one.

Dusty box? Did I ask you to describe your skull?
As for my life being stable, you have obviously never been to Sunken R'yleh for the I Love Dagon festival. ;)
don't post this thread full of crap messages
Why don't you take your own advice?

I am sure somone values your 'crap messages'.

Did I argue that or have you been inhaling the vapors a bit too deeply?
Straw man.
3 a : knowledge or a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operation of general laws especially as obtained and tested through scientific method b : such knowledge or such a system of knowledge concerned with the physical world and its phenomena : NATURAL SCIENCE
This is the definition I was referring to.

Is it tested through the scientific method?
I don't care. I really don't. But it annoys me when pseudoscientists try to take the credit for the discoveries of science by stealing our name.
Please, show a little creativity and call it somthing else. That's all I ask, and all I have to say.
Asguard 03-28-02, 02:04 AM Isn't science "the search for truth". That would mean they are MORE scientests (cause they are doing the searching) than some other people labled as such (who only USE science).
Can i ask if one of them PROVES there therios then they will be scientest but becuse they havent yet they are not. That is a bit hard to swallow. Enstine wasn't a scientest till the atom had been split? Id say he was MORE a scientest while he was LOOKING.
Is it tested through the scientific method?
Mixing 'apples' and 'oranges' just because they belong to a class called 'fruit' just shows confusion.
We are in the 'parapsychology' thread. There is no scientific method as in the NATURAL SCIENCE.
Before anyone demands the proof, evidence, scientific method etc, please check the top of the reply page, you will see what section you are in. If it says 'subcultures' and 'Parapsychology' or 'Pseudoscience', you are no longer in NATURAL SCIENCE country. If you are confused, please stay away from these threads.
Be smart and post smart. Thank you.

Well, this is a real simple tip. It doesn't work for everybody and you must have patience. Try it out and tell me what happened please...:)
Find someone who is a willing subject and ask them to sit on a stool in front of a plain white wall. A stool is recommended because you want to be able to see the back of their head without the back of a chair interfering. Have the subject sit sideways on the stool so that you are looking at their profile. Look at the back of their head, then look at the wall behind their head, now let your eyes relax and do not look directly at their head anymore, look next to their head where it ends with the wall. Within a little while, you will see their aura.
Once you see their aura, ask them to close their eyes and to think of something that makes them really happy, when they do this, you will see their aura level extend outward significantly. You will also see when they stop thinking of the happy thought, as the aura will shrink back down in size. At first, you may only see a light color or muted color, do not worry. The more your practice, the more you will grow and then begin to see the colors around the person's body.
As I mentioned, this is a real simple way to try if you can see an Aura. Please take notice of that. Thank you...:)

I would like to ask your permission to use this as my signature quote.
It's the best one I've ever seen on this board. :D
Banshee 03-29-02, 12:12 PM Rooth - Chakra is located on the bottom of your spine.
This Chakra has to do with the way, you, as your Inner Self, are connected with Earth. It is related to work, body-care, food, finances, shortly, everything that has to do with 'Earthly Survival'.
- Is finding work and/or making money easy for you or do you find often difficulties here?
- Do you feel yourself safe in your body, in general, or do you feel uncertain about how you look to the outside world or about your health?
- How do you feel in your own house and living surrounding; do you feel that you can express yourself here like you yourself are or do you have the feeling you are dependable on others in this?
All this kind of base feelings are reflected in the Rooth - Chakra.
When this Chakra is functioning good, you are standing with both feet on the ground, so to say and you have a feeling of trust in life. It also shows you are willing to take responsibility for everything that's coming on your path, to succeed in manifesting your wishes and desires into concrete earthly reality.
A less good functioning Rooth - Chakra makes you feel unsafe in your Earth - bound body, you feel nervous and stressed without a significant reason. Structural problems with work, money and way of living are an example of this.
Humans who are not 'grounded' properly are often experienced by other people as dreamers or easy to influence. Often these humans have 'rich' Inner Feelings and can connect easily with spirituality and artistic expressions. It is important to 'ground' this Inner Richdom. Neuroses, addictions and other forms of instability can be the consquenses...
:)
(next Chakra will follow)
Q, you are either a huge masochist or you are the most tenacious person I have yet to 'meet'!

TruthSeeker 03-29-02, 10:46 PM Banshee,
Will you be talking about the Kundalini too? :)
Love,
Nelson
Banshee 03-30-02, 03:43 PM Belly - Chakra The Belly - Chakra is the centre of emotions and emotional relation-ships with others.
Here lies the centre of your intuititve knowing, something you probably recognize from situations of crisis and great danger towards your own person.
First impressions you get from persons or surrounding are also classified in this intuitive knowing. This Chakra gives important information on how you really feel in certain situations and with people. It also shows how much you let these feelings play a part in your daily life and how you act with them.
From out the Belly - Chakra you experience your sexuality too. If you are hurt one way or another, sexual, it leaves its trails in this Chakra. This doesn't mean only physical sexual abuse. Also society and the way you are brought up by your parents, picture an image about your view on men and/or women. Now-a-days it's not that easy for some people to accept their bodies and sexuality in a natural way. A lot of emotional problems find its origin in this Chakra.
Also the ability to sense emotions/feelings and moods from others are to be found here. This ability can vary from empathy - compare for the emotions/feelings of someone else - till intuitive knowing - feel the emotions/feelings and moods from someone else without them saying so.
Your Belly - Chakra is functioning good if you are able to live with your inner emotions/feelings, the positive and the negative, and dare to look at them and live them truely. This is difficult for a lot of people because emotions/feelings are not always what society wants them to be. Often people depress their instinctive, emotional knowing to keep the peace, so to say. If you listen to your inner emotions/feelings, no matter how confronting they may be, then it will give you more and more grip on your personal life. It enhances your self esteem. You learn to say "No", without feeling guilty about it. And you learn where your responsibility begins and ends and where the responsibility of someone else begins.
A lack of contact with your emotions can exist from a strongly developed ratio or morality about what is wrong and what is right. Both lead to the point that emotions are 'reasoned away'. As being worthless. Part of this is too much 'love' for intellectual capacities.
It is also possible that someone becomes emotional to easily. Then you are not quite able to see the difference between your own and others emotions/feelings. People who are very caring and compassionate, can be so aware of other people's emotions/feelings and needs that they lose contact with their own inner emotions/feelings. Problems with assertivity and making your own boundaries are often to be found then.
TruthSeeker, Kundalini is something different. It has nothing to do with Auras. Why don't you open a thread about...? :) :)
TruthSeeker 03-30-02, 05:35 PM Oh yeah... what I'm talking about...
It has to do with Chackras... :p
But Chackras and Auras have the same colors and the same meanings...!!:bugeye:
That's why I confused myself... :p
Love,
Nelson
Banshee 03-31-02, 02:34 AM To learn Aura - reading, you first have to know where the 7 main Chakra's are located and what their meanings are. :) The colors are from importance here for the Aura - reading.
The 7 main Chakra's given here are not all the Chakra's a human posesses.
This is meant, above all, as information to learn how to see and interpretate Auras...:) :)
(Auras differy from one second in the other because peoples thoughts and feelings change all the time, so the colors change too.)
Banshee 04-04-02, 05:55 PM Midrif-Chakra, or Solar Plexus, is located a little below your stomach. It forms the well from which your life-energy and creativity originiates. (sorry for the bad English). It is the 'chair' of your will-power.
The energy from this Chakra allows you to realize your thoughts, desires and wishes into material reality. This creative energy can be inspired by desires or ideals from the higher self, the heart, or it can be used only for your own ego. Personal power and ambition.
The way you stand in life, feel yourself really part of life and your daily businesses, says a lot about the functioning of this Chakra. Someone who's passive and lethargic for a longer time period has (temporarily) lost the connection with his/her creative part. This is not a bad thing. In the feelings of passivity and emptyness, the 'soul' speaks of her desire for more fulfilling activities. The soul speaks via your feelings. The troubles start when the voice of the soul's been neglected for a real long time period.
Someone who's way of life is active and enthousiastic has a good connection with this third Chakra. There can be a little snake under the grass, so to say. You can live a highly active and busy life, while true creativity lacks. The creativity which expresses itself through the soul. The kind of activity which come from 'extern motives', like wanting to fulfill the norms and expectations by society, partner, parents/family and friends can depress the connection with your true inner creativity. In this cases, there is always a certain feeling of unsatisfactory present in your Inner Self, or conciousness.
When you don't pay attention to this, it can express itself eventually in psychological or physical 'illnesses'. The total energy of the Inner Self can not expres itself in the proper way.
When this Chakra is functioning in its optimal form, the creative impulses of the soul flow without effort through to your earthly reality. Someone is able to realize his/her deepest dreams and desires and will feel him/herself essentially fulfilled.
:)
My apologies for the bad English. It's a little hard to tell and explain in English... :)
TruthSeeker 04-04-02, 06:55 PM Banshee,
When this Chakra is functioning in its optimal form, the creative impulses of the soul flow without effort through to your earthly reality. Someone is able to realize his/her deepest dreams and desires and will feel him/herself essentially fulfilled.
Really!?!?
I've been feeling this Chackra more then usual.
I had a dream where a pregnant women taught me to play piano (creativity, creative power of Universe from Feminine power...)
And while doing Tai Chi and Chi Gong, I've been feeling it too!!
In the case of the Chi Gong was the Chi Gong of the heart, fire.
What? Will my dreams soon be finally fulfilled? :):):):):)
:):):)
How to make it function in its optimal form?
Love,
Nelson
Banshee 04-04-02, 08:21 PM I think it is working in its optimal form with you TruthSeeker. :) :)
Dreams you have during your life-time, what you want to accomplish...:) :) :)
TruthSeeker 04-05-02, 12:02 AM I hope so... :)
Love,
Nelson
TruthSeeker 04-06-02, 02:31 PM "If you wish to enhance or utilize more of the element of FIRE, you may focus on the SOLAR PLEXUS Chakra and the refined frequencies of golden energy from your I AM Self. See a sphere of radiant golden Light begin to pulsate and glow in your heart center and expand to incorporate your solar plexus and
throat, thus becoming your SOLAR POWER CENTER. See the red energy of the First Ray of Divine Will and Power penetrate your Crown Chakra and ignite the attributes of the First Ray within you. Use the red energy to create strength, power in thought, action, and deeds, to claim and manifest abundance, enhance your courage, and stimulate you into action. Also use the
yellow energies of the Third Ray to reinforce your will, perseverance, and forbearance. Wear red stones such as ruby, garnet, or bloodstones and yellow or gold-colored stones such as topaz, amber, or citrine. Eat yellow and red fruits and vegetables and exercise to stimulate the heart and purify the blood. As always, drink pure water to release the toxins that accumulate
within the body as you move ever more quickly through the transformation process. Gaze into a dancing fire or a candle and imagine the life-giving energies of fire power penetrating the depths of your Being and stoking your reserves.
To stimulate and enhance the element of EARTH, focus on the ROOT CHAKRA at the base of the spine. Even though you are reaching for the stars, you still need to be firmly anchored in the physical vessel and to the Earth. Envision a rich copper color from within the Earth rising up and permeating your Root Chakra, then see the transforming energies of the five higher galactic rays
add sparkling violet tones to this area. This will assist you to release survival/scarcity issues and keep you firmly grounded as you become multidimensional and move easily between the third, fourth, and fifth dimensions. Wear or use black tourmaline, obsidian, smoky quartz, or red jasper. Eat vegetables grown within the ground such as white and sweet potatoes, onions, and small amounts of protein. It is for you to decide along with your body Elemental whether or not red meat is beneficial for you
at your present level of evolvement. Walk on the soft earth in your bare feet, and lie in the cool grass at night gazing up at the stars, and consciously attune your heartbeat to that of the Mother Earth.
To balance and harmonize the WATER element within, focus on the NAVAL CHAKRA, located in the lower abdomen just below the naval. This chakra rules the functions of procreation, assimilation of food, and sexuality. This is the center of the "feeling mind" chakra and is the seat of the emotions. See this chakra flooded with Light as it becomes a luminescent orange/pink. This will help you access your higher emotional nature, whereby you will move out of the emotional nature of the ego and begin to function under the direction of your Higher Self. Wear or use stones such as carnelian, coral, gold calcite, pink tourmaline, rose quartz, or peach aventurine. Drink orange or grapefruit juice and eat orange or yellow fruits and vegetables. When possible, allow the gentle waves of water to wash over you, and imagine that
this healing energy is washing away your cares and strengthening you with its powerful, positive energies, or take soothing salt or mineral baths.
The fourth element we will focus on is the element of AIR. There is also the element of the ETHERS, but for this lesson we will incorporate the Air and Etheric elements into one. These elements are centered within the HEART AND THROAT CHAKRAS. The heart chakra anchors the life-force from the Higher
Self, and the throat chakra rules the energies of vibration through the spoken word, sound, and communication. Envision the green of the heart chakra as it gradually turns into a pale pink/violet, and the thymus area begins to radiate a beautiful turquoise as it encompasses the throat area and becomes a part of your power center. To activate the throat chakra wear
turquoise, chrysocolla, blue topaz, sodalite, lapis lazuli, and aquamarine. For the heart chakra wear emeralds, green or pink tourmaline, malachite, green jade, green aventurine, or kunzite. Eat blue or purple fruits and vegetables, and for the heart center, eat green fruits and vegetables. Consciously move into the flow of the wind and feel the surges and ebbs of its energies. Feel it as it soothes, cools and refreshes your body and allow
its calming effects to do the same for your internal body/mind structure."

Hmmmm... I wonder what color the aura is for a plagiarist?
TruthSeeker 04-07-02, 06:39 PM What are you talking about goofyfish!?!?
I received this through e-mail, from a list, and a friend quote it. I didn't know where it came from. I put the quotes anyway to say that they are not my own words. It's not even the whole article. I posted it all in another forum (now I don't remember each one anymore). I posted this part because Banshee is talking about it!
And don't give me personal attacks anymore, please... I don't have time to answer this kind of thing.
Btw... nice to see that you read this kind of thing too... :D

Banshee 04-10-02, 04:46 PM Heart-Chakra, the fourth Chakra, is located in the middle of your chest, near the Heart. From here come the so called higher feelings, like friendship, love and forgiveness.
The Heart allows someone to have relation-ships with people and 'surroundings' which are not based on selfishness. In the Heart, the memory lives on from the original One - ness(?) of All That Is. The stronger the Heart-Chakra is developed, the more the desire lives to equallity and 'brotherhood'. Thus, the more the ability for understanding and tolerance toward others and the Earth/world is present.
The Heart is like a bridge between the upper and lower Chakra's; it connects the spiritual/rational 'field' (fifth, sixth, seventh Chakra) with the intinctive/emotional 'field' (first, second, third Chakra) through feelings.
There is a difference between emotions and feelings. Feelings are more mild and stable then emotions, which can flame up like a fire and fade away again. Emotions often give problems by taking a good decision, while feelings allow you to place your emotional as well as your rational functioning, in good perspective.
This way, the Heart can bring balance in your soul/spirit. It is case you learn to really listen to the language of your feelings - the voice of the Heart - that's often difficult to do because this voice is subtle and is easily over-shouted by your ratio and/or your emotions.
( Apologies for the bad English. It's real difficult to find the right words to explain it in English. Hope you understand it anyway.) :)

In my case... I know that! :);)
Still trying to shut up emotions...

What happened? You've only posted 4 Chakras and you said we have to learn 7. Auras are a very interesting subject to me. Im waiting... :)
Banshee 04-26-02, 09:34 PM Throat-Chakra, the fifth Chakra is located in the middle of your throat. It's the centre of speech and communication. Communication is the capability to express your Inner Self through language and your voice. (make it material)
People who have difficulties to speak about what concerns their desires and emotions, often have a block in he throat centre. Express your Inner Self, always means that you become "visible" for the outside world and that can bring a certain fear because of the vulnerability you show when speaking from out your true self.
This fear can lead to keeping all your feelings/emotions inside until you "choke" yourself. This can be the case with people who show to be very assertive. When this assertivity is born from out a certain self defense, the real feelings, emotions and desires are not expressed and stay unspoken.
Language- and/or speaking disturbances and throat-diseases can be a result of a disturbance from the energy-balance in this fifth Chakra.
When the fifth Chakra is working well, a person can name his/her thoughts and feelings in a good nuanced(?) way. This is done in the first place by using language, it can be named also by more creative expressions, like painting, making Music etcetera. The fifth Chakra is in this way also a centre of creativity. (In the sense of giving a more sensitive - material form to what lives inside of you, your Inner Self.)
My goodness, it is not easy! :) Hope you understand it. :) Apologies for the late reply here, *stRgrL*. It's pretty hard, to tell it in English, in an understandable way... :)

Northwind 04-30-02, 11:05 PM True Story! This new-agey whack-job I used to know claimed to be able to see auras. Whenever she was out and about, she would comment on the shape and color of people's auras around us. Oddly enough, she said I had no aura. She claimed this meant I was a "spiritual null point" and was actually a negative spiritual force that robbed and removed spiritual energy from every thing around me. A sort of "soul vampire" in her words. It made me sad that the whole thing was utter crap. Being a "soul vampire" could be fun.
TruthSeeker 04-30-02, 11:25 PM Northwind,
What she sees, I feel...
PS: Does she has ICQ...? :D
Good Luck...

Banshee 05-19-02, 02:56 PM The Third-Eye, the sixth Chakra which is called the third eye, is located between your eyebrows. In this Chakra the capability of creative thinking, imagination and "clear vision" (in the sense of paranormal vision; sixth sense) is present.
The third-eye gives you the possibility to think with your intuition. That means, not only logical, mathematical thinking but associative thinking which makes connections in which the meaning more by intuition and feelings than by ratio is understood. Example: Artists express themselves mostly by using their Third-Eye. (My, what a bad English).
A phenomenon everybody knows is when you have the feeling, someone is watching you but you can not see this person. When you suddenly look behind you, this feeling appears to be right. This kind of "visions" (don't know another word) are coming from the Sixth Chakra.
Someone with a strong developed third-eye very often picks up much more information from his/her surroundings than is comprehensive with the normal, five senses. Such a person can feel easily the thoughts and moods from others. And react on not aloud spoken thoughts and/or needs from someone else. Such a person is very good in 'reading between the lines' in social contacts.
It's not always easy to have this ability. Often it occurs that a person is not conscient of this capability and then it's difficult to tell which feelings are his/hers or from others. When this Chakra is in balance, the person knows it and is able to open up or close down for the energies from other persons.
When the Sixth Chakra is not well developed, there is a lack of imagination or flexibel thinking. Such a person has a certain dogmatism in his/her way of thinking and has difficulties with changes and people who are looking differently at reality than he/she. In this society the logical, rational thinking is much more appreciated than the associative, intuitive thinking. The last way of thinking is mostly thought of as irrational or at the best, something for artists and writers, who, according to the rational thinkers, are living outside reality.
This is a pity, though, because messages from the Third-Eye can be extremely practical. If you dare to trust on the messages from your third-eye, something is excisting what is called synchronity nowadays. An un-probable (is that a word?) way of coming together from circumstances, through which something you want, becomes reality in an unexpected and effortless way...
(Again, apologies for the English!)
:)

According to aura people you are a walking dead...and shows in your posts too....go find some auras to fill the void...:D...:D
(just joking...but if you are serious...do some meditation)
Yeah, Northie, or drop some anvils! ;)
The third-eye gives you the possibility to think with your intuition. That means, not only logical, mathematical thinking but associative thinking which makes connections in which the meaning more by intuition and feelings than by ratio is understood.
Associative thinking is very important to solve complex problems that has too many variables and too many intensity (complex waveform) over time. Mathematically it is the backpropagation neural net with a constant rearranging of the net itself. The result is a by-product of years of meditation and learning (you need both).
And it works!
Banshee 06-14-02, 07:46 PM Crown-Chakra, the seventh Chakra, is located at the top of your head.
This Chakra levels your connection with the Cosmos and the area of the paranormal/supernatural. It is also your connection with "home": the Light Spheres from which we are originally coming.
The Crown-Chakra "allows" (by lack of a better word) you to make contact with the deeper meaning of events and encounters you have in life. It can give you more insight on the path you are walking in this life-time. This way the pain and suffering you meet ( in yourself or in others) can get more acceptable. Understanding is the key to acceptance.
Now here I have to be very careful, for my words probably won't come out quite right and I don't want someone confused here. So take it easy people.
The Crown-Chakra can make it possible to get information from sages or helpers who can help you with certain decisions/view on life and the like. Of course you have to be very careful with such information, because it can easily be confused by one of the many voices in your head which are representing unconscious desires or ordeals.
Information from sages/helpers are recognizable by the joyous, light feeling it accompanies. It will always be a message of Light and warmth or a suggestion. Never a commandment! As soon as it gives a feeling of plight and pressed force, the message is not pure.
When it comes to receiving messages from "higher energies", the connection with your own Inner Self is much more important than contact with any sage/helper. Most important is that you know you're connected with the "higher" goal in your life. It is this goal or ideal which inspires your life and gives meaning to it.
Keeping this inspiration alive is much more important than any contacts with sages/helpers, because it is you yourself who is responsible for your path in life and it is you yourself who knows and feels what is best for you in the end. (Sages may try to make you more aware of your confidence in your own Self.)
Contact with your own Soul/Inner Self you can recognize as a feeling of self acceptance and self understanding. You are in contact with your Soul/Inner Self if you can look at your own shortcomings without judging yourself and with understanding concerning your own "mistakes". These "mistakes" are all part of a learning progress and you are able to see that those "mistakes" or negative experiences indeed have a positive side to it, as in more insight and self acceptance.
Being in contact with your Soul/Inner Self gives you a feeling of trust, through which you are willing to go on, on your path in life and if necessarry, say goodbye to people, things or thoughts which do not support you anymore in your growing to the Light...
:)
firdroirich 09-06-02, 10:02 AM You took a bashing just to say what some people may take an interest in, good on you.
;)
For many years (since childhood) I saw auras---so often that it meant nothing to me, in fact. People I knew would give me books on how to interpret them etc., but they were such an everyday occurrence, seemingly so mundane, that I never felt compelled to do any research into it. What was different about my experience was that at least 90% of the auras I witnessed were around inanimate objects!?! (at least to this non-animist...) The strangest thing about it was that after the collapse of my first marriage (high-drama: a Sarah Lawrence girl with immense talent sprinkled in among the suicide attempts--the usual tragedies), I never saw another aura again, not once. It's been over 20 years now...
Any of you folks out there have any theories on the inanimate angle or the sudden and complete stoppage?
Hey! did I kill this thread, or what?
yes, I believe I killed this thread! With an honest story, no less...sounds like a name for a new arch-villian---"Threadkiller."
Banshee 10-07-02, 08:59 PM No, you did not kill the thread. :)
What exactly do you mean by inanimate objects? Books, cd's, the television, trees, flowers, what? There is a difference.
Some people claim everything has an Aura. I think it goes for all things being alive. That can differ from person to person, though.
The sudden stoppage can be caused by "bad" experiences, by lack of a better word, which have coloured your vision on life in such a serious manner that the ability to see any Aura's simply disappeared.
Then again, it should be possible to get it back, once your life settles again and you find more joy in it. Maybe you are altered for the rest of your lifetime by it.
As I do not know you, I cannot say that for sure. Please, fill me in some more here...:)
Banshee, I meant everyday (non-reflective) objects---a sofa, the edge of a wall, a flower pot, etc. There was always maybe a two or three inch gap between the object and the inner edge of the aura. Occasionally people assumed I was BSing because I was so nonchalant about it, but since I saw them all over the place they seemed quite banal, in fact. It was only when I stopped seeing them, and it took some time to realize that fact, that I started wondering about the whole thing...
In addition, I never saw one when looking directly at the object. It was always at a slightly oblique angle, at any time of day, and in any light. It wasn't as if I looked around and saw auras everywhere, but a few times a day, most every day. Then, never. I don't regard this as anything especially compelling or bizarre, but it happened, and that's about it, I guess.
