Sometimes i hear people saying that taking one aspirin each day its great for health but recently i heard saying that for women is not that the case. So, my questions are:
1) Why is it bad for women (taking it everyday), but not for men? Is it 100% safe for us?

2) Are there any studys that indicating the possibility of aspirin be a dangerous thing, when one consumes it in long term?

3) Besides the the good things that it makes to hearth, what good is for taking an aspirin every day?

thanks

First off, taking an aspirin a day is NOT because it's "healthy", it's because it's been shown to reduce the risks of heart attack in men. Why it doesn't do that for women is thought, ONLY thought, to be because of women's hormone differences. I'm not sure, of course, but I think that women are different to men?!

Yes, other than for a very, very few very sick people, one aspirin a day is safe. But remember, nothing is 100% safe ...nothing on this Earth!

No, long-term consumption of low doses of aspirin is safe ...even if it does no good at all to protect against heart attack.

Daily aspirin has been shown, tho' not fully studied, to help reduce inflammation in the joints and muscles. It's also an excellent "protection" against such things as infections in the gums.

You can also google this info and you'll be sent to a gazillion different sites with a gazillion different opinions about a gazillion different issues on aspirin.
