P.J.LAKHAPATE plakhapate@rediffmail.com Not certain why you use the word "artificial" but the answer is I've made hundreds of them by watering my lawn and shrubs. Just as Oli said. All you need is water spray and sunlight - very, very common thing in fact. They are also visible practically every day in agricultural areas that use "walking" irrigation. You'll see a dozen or more at one time in every field. decantemix 05-31-07, 09:44 AM Is it possible to prepare artificial rainbow using sunrays and water drops? Share your experience. P.J.LAKHAPATE plakhapate@rediffmail.com sciencekit dot com (can't post links right now) has prisms. You don't even need water! Just light. A lot of fun, too. P.J.LAKHAPATE plakhapate@rediffmail.com ofcourse it is, i used to do it all of the time when watering my parents garden when i was younger, just put the hose onto fine spray mode, and point it up at a certain angle to catch the sunlight, and you can make a rainbow, i used to always do it, peace. Dinosaur 06-04-07, 07:58 AM My apartment complex has a golf course. I often see rainbows when they are running the sprinklers. I occasionally see a glory, which is a perfectly circular rainbow. In nature they are extremely rare, since most rainbows are cut off by the horizon. I think a glory can sometimes be seen from a mountain peak if the conditions are right, but I have never heard of anyone who saw one.
