Anyone able to explain how an inductive system works?

Google thinks you are talking about hearing aids - it selected two ads on the subject. If you are talking about mathematical or logical induction, it is the derivation of a general law from one or more specific instances.
Electrical induction is just the generating of a current in a conductor by the presence of another active conductor - as in a transformer.
