1)Highly empatheic. If true, please tell me why you think so, but you don't have too.

2)Have a uncanny ability to recognize others who may be of similiar mentality, independent of thier beliefs, current developmental state or experiences.

Just curious.

Are you meaning to be exclusive to empathy?

Why do you ask?

"Hi."

Ok. That was stupid..too tired to be here once again...

Have you heard of Ray Bradbury's encounter with Freud?
On a trip to London he met Freud on a bridge. Freud didn't acknowledge him until Bradbury introduced himself. He'd never seen him before and had no idea what he looked like.

Bradbury stated that Freud had a presence about him that made him stand out as someone who was important. He later wrote an essay on the presence a person has and its relation to the depth of their thought. He labeled them as 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade thinkers.

Pretty interesting, huh?

I don't know what you mean by "exclusive".

I'm asking because I'm really interested in finding out how many people on this forum are perhaps similiar to me. Well in a sense you might call us "exclusive". So far I have noticed that certain characteristics and principles seem to be inherently common independent of experience, culture, or gathered intelligence in general. What I would like to find out is perhaps, the variety social cast that such individuals as myself may have filled(ie highly intelligent ones, not to say we aren't, but rather that our mentality is not very well adapted for excelling in some areas that a true intellectual "mentality" would have no problem in.)

I said exclusive out of stupidity-I didn't read the second reference right.

I've been playing with the idea that we unintentionally become grouped in character by our senses- whatever focused means of obsevation we use most? Doesn't it make sense that if you have a keen ear, that you might indulge yourself in the world of music, along with others? (Whatever observation you use more proficiently would be the tone of you and how you calculate things.)

The first grade thinker thinks like society.
The 2nd thinks like society, but thinks for themselves.
The 3rd doesn't think like society at all.

I think thats how it goes..

I've noticed something just eminates from wise people. A form of confidence almost. But not ego confidence, just acceptance... I dunno.

Careful, you'd have to include yourself amongst Freud and Bradbury...Einstien, Hawkings, Leary, Wavy Gravy...

I think what you might be seeing is what I refer to as "probing".

I don't consider them to be like us(Freud and Bradbury...Einstien, Hawkings, although Einstien and Freud seem as though they may have been some what similiar). An what is OCD?

I don't think I made it clear enough. I don't care about being grouped among those who you see as great, or successful. I only wish to perhaps find more people like me. Although I may have said Einstien and Freud seem to have possibly been close in mentality. I do not see it as a source of pride, or arrogance, because to me to say with surety that they were of like mentality, is to also partake in the great faliure of Freud, and the willing naivete of Einstien.

I just to find out more about people who might resemble me in mentality, who are still living. Need less to say I don't care about any possible dead ones really.

How can we not think like society, when we are society? I am sure someone else thinks like me, but we are the few.

Binary,

OCD is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

BTW, I don't quite understand your question still. Do you want people who think along the same lines as you, or in a similar way? Because if you want similar thinking, you might want to tell us a bit more about yourself first.

You can start by taking A4Ever's test, in the thread called Myer-Briggs type indicator. It pinpointed my personality type (INFJ), and I am predicting yours will be like mine.

Because I know what you mean about the high empathy. It tortures me inside. Does it do that to you?

Your Type is
INTP
Introverted Intuitive Thinking Perceiving
Strength of the preferences %
33____ 67_____ 11____ 22

INTP type description by D.Keirsey
INTP type description by J. Butt

Qualitative analysis of your type formula

You are:
moderately expressed introvert

distinctively expressed intuitive personality

slightly expressed thinking personality

slightly expressed perceiving personality

Interesting test. It took me up to about question #31, to identifie a approximate state of mental development, which allowed me to satisfiably answer according to the applied meaning I hope the writer meant to induce, by the use of certain key words and phrases. I did learn something useful from it. I don't fit in any traditional catergorey. At least not any more.

Thanks for telling me what OCD is. Now that I know what it is, I'd have to agree that kirstykiwi was some what accurate in their generalization. You see OCD is acually quite relatable, but it's at the low end of several possible states of mental development. I was what you might call "Obsessive Compulsive" at one point in my life. Not to say that everyone like me has gone through this at one point in their life, but merely stating that it can be triggered during early developmental stages(age dosen't really determine the state of acheived awareness).

%BlueSoulRobot% could you tell me what you mean, because I've heard you're female. Is that true? Not being chauvinistic, but if so, you are perhaps the first one that I know to be confirmably similiar (as far as I can tell). If I knew of any more, I might be married now.

(lol) Well any how just curious to what exstint, (given the obvious ineqaulitys between a man and a woman) can we be alike? I mean I've met other men that where qiute close, but never a woman. I'm really interested in finding out.

p.s.
No need to be timid about being blunt with me. If we're truly alike, you should know I that's how I prefer it. Nice and open, just whats on your mind. And that goes for anyone.

Yes, recent studies have shown that I am, indeed, female.

I am also recommended by 4 out of 4 doctors (the other 6 "disappeared"

)

I don't know how alike we could be, though. Would you like a list of some sort?

As for similarities between men and women, I am sure there are many close calls. But as the famous saying goes, "Men are from Mars, and women are from Venus". Our brains are different (thicker corpus callosum (sp) in women, different chemical and cellular levels, most men are right hemisphere dominant, etc.), and that accounts for a lot. I don't really know a lot about gender-based personalities; I am pulling this mostly from psychology class.
