Not that theft is ever moral I suppose that trying to profit from the artifacts is preferable over the destruction of them. I thought I read or viewed on one of the History shows on TV that there was destruction of some archaeological find somewhere (was it somewhere in the Souther Hemisphere?). Tragedy that someone feels compelled to erare history for short-term gain.
