That was the day the centaur Chariklo was discovered, what was the general mood then? Did they think they'd found a new planet?

It's around half the size of Ceres and reprensents the object both clasified as asteroids and comets.
Chariklo's surface has been suggested to be a mixture of tholins (like those detected on Titan and Triton) with amorphous carbon.
