It is an OFC. Official firm ware. This can only mean, that Custom Firm Ware is entirely different, yes, it is a newer model of software. Basically.... I would say indeed that it allows many new ways of viewing the potentials of the PSP. Googgle psp + CFW... hehe. lucifers angel 02-20-08, 10:09 AM i had one and i sold it, it was a total waste of money and time! Enmos 02-20-08, 10:47 AM The psp you own comes with a firmware. I'd say hmm.. maybe ;) sisyphus__ 02-20-08, 10:07 PM Yeah enmos this is what this thread's about! :( It is legal if you own the games; apparently; I can't be certain but it's ALL over the net. Enmos 02-21-08, 07:18 AM So you mean like Devhook ? Ganymede 03-30-08, 02:51 PM The PSP is an awesome piece of technology. It has so many uses I can't begin to reveal them all. When my GF is being bitchy and won't relinquish the reins of my computer, I just turn on my PSP, and read up on the news that way. I remember we had a long power outage about 3 months ago, it was late, we were completely in the dark, and bored as hell. Then I activated the PSP, then we had light, and we were able to watch the Matrix until the power came back on. Also, It works well when you're going to see a movie. In the Bay Area if you don't arrive an hour early before any blockbuster movie, chances are you won't get a ticket, if you do, you're stuck in the very front of theater at best. And nothing is worst then sitting idly in movie theater, waiting for your flick to start. But with the PSP, you have a PS2 quality video game, internet, and HD movie player right in the palm of your hands. And trust me, times flies by much faster:) That's just some of the things the PSP is good for:) draqon 03-30-08, 02:52 PM yeah but the screen is so small...and I seen people scratch it too... Ganymede 03-30-08, 03:17 PM yeah but the screen is so small...and I seen people scratch it too... True, but the scratches are only visible when you're playing it outside when there's sunlight.
