    Hello all: Anybody here know a lot about the PC space-combat game Freespace-2?? Would you explain to me what kind of energy do Freespace's ships use? And would it be feasable to forsee in the near or far future space battles and inter-galatic travel? with jump-nodes perhaps? Do we have that technology today?
    I would appreciate your views and comments on this matter

    The node idea is very doubtful, as the people in the physics forum will assure you. I think they use fusion in there ships.

    I loved that game. But I don't think it is a realistic depection of what space combat would look like. If there were fighter ships, I dont they would have beings flying them...they would probably be intelligent machines. Or there might not be any fighter ships at all...just big intelligent bombs that get thrown about.
