has anyone seen these new Anti Marajuana Comericals being brodcast on american tv? there the one where a guy and chick are on a couch smoke weed and in the end the guy starts unbuttoning the chicks shirts... so now guys are going think "you can get layed if you smoke weed!" then theres the one where the guys are smoking in a bathroom at a concert and the guy comes in a busts them.... did they poeple who make this commerical ever been to a concert poeple smoke the shit right there in the mosh pit or in their seats..... at offspring and AC/DC concert poeple where smoking joints every corner of the place, aint no one got busted... tho this was in canada. when you tell someone not to do something, naturaly there going do it, i have a strange feeling the statistics for pot smokers is gonna go up this year. when i was a kid i didnt even know what pot was unill i saw a comerical likes these ones... then the idea of it got stuck in my head, i was watching COPs the other night and its funny how they have stings with like 40 cops to catch one guy buying 2 grams of weed...(i found this to be comdey) shouldnt they be out doing heroin stings... im sure weed is the least of their problems, weed is less harmfull than alchohol yet booze is legal eventuly there going have anti extacy, herion etc etc ads and poeple are going wanna do the shit as well, tho thoes comericals probbly will point out the long term effects of these drugs (unlike the weed comericals, probly cuase there is no stated long term effect) but im sure it wont have a affect on the poeple. food for thought..

As an american who has had some herbal refreshment before, i think these commercials are full of misinformation..the government just feeding BS to our children with a spoon. oh, p.s. you're right about the forbidden fruit theory - it's forbidden, it's BAD, it's taboo - naturally people want to use it. Hence, the Dutch. They have had hashish, marijuana, and psilocybe mushrooms legal for a long time now...and they're statistics concerning these substance are very low in comparison to the USA or other heavily restrictive nations.. Aren't there: People who are smoking it anyway = no point People who never would = no point People who might = ads are in a lose/lose situation. Not nasty enough and it seems not such a bad thing to do. Very nasty and it gets the cache of forbidden fruit. mary jane comercial have you seen the one where the kids are in a car smoking up and they try to order a burger from a burger joint for about 15 mins. they laugh and smoke some more and can't seem to figure out why they aren't getting any results. then they suddenly pull off and (we assume they) hit a little girl who happens to cross in front of them. i would like to know if the anti-drug coalition or who-ever is in charge of these ads, really thinks they are helpful. when i see them i automatically pick up my bong for a nice long toke! (sort of a rebellious act you see, and of course an excuse to smoke although who really needs one.) this ad and the several others like it should be talking about heroin use or cocain use. these drugs seem so much more harmful for those in our society. i believe the war on drugs is not working! it is a huge waste of money. and the drug maintance programs don't work either (they simply create addicts to the alternative drug). we need real reform in our drug laws. why does anybody else care what i put into my own body? after all i'm allowed to smoke cigs (one of the most harmful drugs out there!) why stop at that?:m:

The big problem I see with these ads it will cause kids not to trust any messages of this sort. As soon as they realize (and they will sooner or later) that smoking pot will not turn young girls into sluts or make you accidentally shoot your friend or make you run over a girl on her big wheel or get you busted at a concert (although this might happen), they will not believe similar warnings about the harder drugs. This happened to me when I watched the anti-drug propaganda videos from Nancy Reagan's crusade in grade school. Those videos proposed that smoking one joint would send you down the road to junkie hell whether you liked it or not. It is interesting to note that all the situations created by these new ads would be much more realistic if they referred to alcohol rather then pot. oz
What I would like to know is: why is there a connection between smoking and having a gun? The ad should say: Dont buy a gun. Otherwise, the kids would be having a damn fun time. Why arent cigarettes outlawed you ask? One of the biggest industries in the US.
theres one on the radio where this girl is baby sitting, and then she smokes weed and leaves the kid by its self... lol. . and says "smoking pot impairs your judgment".
