View Full Version : Another political test
James R 09-28-06, 08:51 PM Since so many people seemed confused about how to vote in the other poll I started trying to gauge where sciforums members sit on the political compass, here's another similar test, which I hope will be less confusing:
Instructions:
1. Go to http://www.moral-politics.com.
2. Take the Long test.
3. When you get your results, answer the poll, look under Matches, and answer the poll according to what is listed next to Ideologies.
For interest, here is a map of all the different political idologies:
Ideology map (http://www.moral-politics.com/xpolitics.aspx?menu=Political_Ideologies&action=Draw&choice=PoliticalIdeologies.All)
If you like, also post your Variation.
My results: Social Democratism, Moderate Socialism.
Stryder 09-28-06, 09:11 PM Came up with pretty much similar, however my variation was different:
Social Democratism, Economic Socialism
I did it! I was -6.5 on Moral Order axis
7 on Moral Rules axis
System: Socialism
Variation:Extreme Socialism
Ideologies: International Socialism. Activism. International Communism
2% of participants scored Left of me.
Interesting and a more revealing test I think than the first.
Viva Partido Comunista!
My Results:
Your Score
Your scored -3 on the Moral Order axis and 1 on the Moral Rules axis.
Matches
The following items best match your score:
1. System: Socialism

The following items best match your score:

2. Variation: Moderate Conservatism, Moderate Liberalism
3. Ideologies: Capital Republicanism, Capital Democratism
Lean neither to the left nor right but lean slightly down towards capitalism vs socialism.

Lame.
I don't believe that Sam is so close to me on the 'moral map'.
The test is flawed.
They didn't even ask if I thought if Moloch worship should be resurrected and that children should be tossed into the fire.
I mean, come on.
Seriously.
Now these results are absolutely perfect for me:
Lean neither to the left nor right but lean slightly down towards capitalism vs socialism.

TruthSeeker 09-28-06, 09:40 PM Not perfectly accurate. I don't give that much importance to moral rules.

http://www.moral-politics.com/xpolitics.aspx?menu=Home&action=Test&choice=Long2 Thumbs Up! Or I mean right fist raised!!
invert_nexus 09-28-06, 09:43 PM So, Truthseeker, didn't understand how the poll works, eh? I see you chose your ideology rather than the one that the test provided for you.
It's pretty difficult reading opening posts before firing your guns, eh?
I guess you really don't give that much importance to moral rules... or any rules?
Not perfectly accurate. I don't give that much importance to moral rules.
Truthie, did you vote correctly?

TruthSeeker 09-28-06, 09:50 PM 2 Thumbs Up! Or I mean right fist raised!!
Yeah man! Right on, commarade!! :D
:m:
I clicked on all the poll options on the poll at top but only one shows: Activism. What's up with that?

:m:Death to US Imperialist Warpigs!!
TruthSeeker 09-28-06, 09:53 PM Truthie, did you vote correctly?
I would think so...
Btw, according to the test, you are more compatible with Buddhism....
Check it out...

Yeah... I don't agree that much with rules and regulations...
You mean you don't agree with rules and regulations that hinder you, but agree with rules and regulations that help you out.
Typical.
invert_nexus 09-28-06, 09:57 PM I would think so...
Uhm..
No. You actually voted incorrectly. Which is the point I made earlier as well.
Oh well.
It's ok, little Truthy, we all know this is a lot for you to take in at one time. Maybe in a couple of years your brain will mature to the point where you can understand such things. You have shown considerable improvement already in your time here. We can only hope that someday you can reach the level of average human intellect.
We're all rooting for you.

That's even lamer than the test. There's not even a space for Moloch worship. What gives?
I believe Judaism would be the closest to Moloch worship. I hear they bake Christian babies into their matzah

That's not what I said....
Oops, I just noticed I messed up my vote, d'oh!
It's alright, I guess since I don't see my option on the list. Where's independant capitalist?

But that's what you meant.
TruthSeeker 09-28-06, 10:04 PM Haha I doubt many posters on this forum with agree with you!
I didn't say it. They did! ;)
invert_nexus 09-28-06, 10:04 PM Haha I doubt many posters on this forum with agree with you!
Actually, I think you should have a bodhi tree named after you. You're surely patient enough to be a buddhist.
But, again, Truthseeker seems to not comprehend something vital.
Your place on that map would place you at the edge of protestantism. Not in Buddhism.
Ain't he special though? We should all chip in and get him a bicycle helmet for Christmas.
I believe Judaism would be the closest to Moloch worship. I hear they bake Christian babies into their matzah
Mmmm.
Christian babies....
But what about blood orgies?
TruthSeeker 09-28-06, 10:04 PM There's not even a space for Moloch worship. What gives?
And what did you say about me?
But what about blood orgies?
Oh, you'll be wanting Catholicism, then.
invert_nexus 09-28-06, 10:07 PM What's your problem? You got a problem with sacrificing children in the fires of the cow god?

It's called "sarcasm" and "irony"... ;)Both are banned in the People's Republic of Genji so out of unfamiliarity I took it seriously.
redarmy11 09-28-06, 10:23 PM redarmy11:
You're an international socialist???
Hmm..
A few years ago I was so sure about these things.
Do I think capitalism is wonderful? No.
Would I like to see capitalism replaced by something more equitable? Yes.
Do I think it will happen? No - and certainly not until we have the political means to control the excesses of international corporations. Logically, that means the system must have freedom to operate across national borders, just as the corporations do. Does that make sense?
But don't ask me what I am and what I'm not, as I'm not entirely sure any more.

spuriousmonkey 09-28-06, 11:42 PM I cannot take this test. I tried it. Got to question 8 and I mostly could not find an answer that fits my political ideas.
I had the same thing somewhat in the other test but then I could always just say agree or disagree although in reality the whole question was fake and pointless.
I think i am too radical for this world.
Stryder 09-29-06, 12:15 AM Ah but Spurious the systems of Politics is about "Compromising"... especially when you realise that you don't actually have any real choices when it comes to voting, they made them for you by only supplying 2-3 candidates :)
Spurious' from a weird country where they have more than two parties. What sort of decadence is that?

That's why I do not vote.
I sometimes vote when there's a danger of total loonies getting voted in, i.e., vote for the least moronic ones to prevent the biggest morons getting the wheel.
